I am looking for a writer and yet I gave him a sample topic. Can anyone tell me how good she is?

Quote:
If a parent has cancer
This can be a devastating blow to kids whether they are aware of its seriousness or not. There has been great debate over what to do when a parent finds out they have cancer: should they tell the kids or not? Most experts say go for it. They advise you to stick to these topics: (1) the cancer?s name and where it is in the body, (2) the treatments that will be needed, and (3) how this situation will affect their lives.
The truth is that kids react to situations almost always by taking cues from how adults or parents are acting. If you look worried, upset or hiding something, they will most likely be anxious and afraid. Your kids will learn from you on how to handle this kind of situation. It is best to be calm, truthful and positive. Keep things simple and understandable to a point, but say it with as much hope and optimism as you can. Also, reassure the child that none of this is their fault, and that it is not contagious.

I replied to your thread on the other forum section. Let me know if you want us to do a sample.

I only looked over it, but here's a suggestion I'd go for:

Quote:

Into:

Children almost always react to situations by taking cues from their parents or other adults around them. If you look worried, upset or as if you're hiding something, chances are they will become anxious and afraid as a result.
