Ancient Aliens on H2 tonight...

I've been watching the marathon of Ancient Aliens tonight on H2 - this is the new carnival sideshow... exploitation of myths and controversy.. BUT - shit is compelling - there's a lot of questions un-answered and/or covered up by church and government...

i love watching that show also. It is for fun, most of the theories are easily explained, however they do touch on somethings that are still mysteries.

Ancient gold mines for instance, points to the fact that there is a good chance 150,000 years ago, we had a civlization at least as advanced as say the Romans.

I'm not sure if it was aliens or not, but certain things are virtually unexplainable. Like some of the stone carvings at acute right angles that even laser precision couldn't duplicate even in modern times. Gigantic statues made of solid rock, carved perfectly, that even today's best heavy machinery would have issues moving, and on top of that? It was mined and transported from hundreds of miles away.

I'd like to think that aliens would be far superior to us as a whole on the intelligence level, so I doubt that is the explanation. However I do wonder if the civilizations that we perceive to be primitive to what we figure them to be were in fact much more intelligent than we give them credit for being.

Shit (history) gets lost in time. Maybe it wasn't important to them for one reason or another to continue the knowledge. Maybe they figured it would be commonplace that people would pass it down... but they didn't.

People like to think of modern technology as if it's NEW and EXCITING. We've had electricity for like 125 years used in mainstream. That's like a small blip on the radar map that is so miniscule it actually holds no importance what so ever. Like people that think that the US isn't nothing more than the Roman Empire v2.0 - all "good" things will eventually come to an end... and most likely, because of people's perception of what once was of that "empire", things will be lost in the mix.

To me 300 years of quote un quote civilized society doesn't hold a fucking candle to the shit that has gone on in the past.

US Empire = 300 years
Roman Empire = 503 years give or take

People tend to forget shit from the past. The Ottoman Empire, Umayyad Caliphate, Mogols, Russians, Persians, etc.

the Roman empire went on for much longer than that if you count the split as a continuation.

The US doesn't have an empire unless you count american imperialism which isn't an empire in it's purest sense.

The most significant Alien specimens, which have been available to autopsy have been the "Grey Types".

The approximate height of most specimens are between 3.5 and 4.5 feet. The head, by human standards, is larger in comparison with the body. Facial features show a pair of eyes described as large, sunken or deeply set, far apart or distended more than a humans, and slightly slanted as oriental or mongoloid. No ear lobes or apertures on the side of the head were visible. The nose is vague, one or two small holes have been identified as nostrils. The mouth area is described as a small slit or fissure. In some cases, there is no mouth at all. It appears not to function as a means for communication or for alimentation. The neck area is described as being thin, and in some cases, not being visible at all because of the tightly knit garment. Most observers describe these humanoids as being hairless. Some of the bodies recovered have a slight hair patch on top of the head. Others appear with what appears to be like a silver skullcap.

There were no breathing attachments or communication devices. This suggests telepathy with higher intelligence. In one case, there was an opening in the right frontal lobe area, revealing a crystalline network. This network implies the development of some sort of third brain. We also found a spherical object which was more or less 1 cm in size and was linked with the crystalline network. We theorize that this is a device for amplification of their brain waves, which means they are not capable of psychic activity without the spherical device. This information is also included in the "YELLOW BOOK".

The arms are described as long and thin, reaching down to the knees. The palms each contained four fingers, with no thumbs. Three fingers are longer than the others. Some are very long, and others are very short. No description is available for the legs and feet Some pathologists indicate that the section of the body was not developed as we would anticipate, showing that some of these beings were adapted to life in the water.

According to most observers, the skin is grey. Some claim it is beige, tan, or pinkish grey. No reproductive organs or capabilities were discovered, no phallus or womb. This suggests cloning is the current reproductive method, which has been mentioned in other sources. The humanoids appear to be a mold, sharing identical racial and biological characteristics. There is no blood as we know it, but there is a fluid which is grayish in color.

It's always been rather low-key...not sure why.

Fascinating story, though - given the number of witnesses and the fact both the Canadian and U.S. military defense depts were involved.

I hate shows like this. They educate no one. They are pure fiction under the guise of "fact" with a nice little cavuto ("?") at the end of it. And "unanswered questions" are the lazy-mans answer to a question that he either couldn't be bothered to research, or when the real truth doesn't confirm to his beliefs.

Total crap.

well this is the thing..

the links i posted, are from 10k years ago.. a time where the ONLY records we have, are 'humans' hunting and gathering

somehow there was a 'human' civilization, that was capable of building cities the size of manhattan, and massive pyramid complexes?

human is quoted as the species in question would/should/could be 2-3 evolutionary steps/branches below us?

Thing is that you can not compare years like that. Pace is faster now, those 125 years may be more than 1250 years of old times when things went way slower.
300 years is way more than those 503 years back then. And more than 3000 years in the beginning of humanity when not that much happened.

the first couple of episodes are good, then they just started stretching to fill the 44minutes and make a series
