Question about Independent contractors
Being there seem to be a lot of people on here that work as Independent Contractors here I thought this might be a good place to get some answers.
I own a U.S. based company and all of my employees are independent contractors and I send them 1099's. I just hired my first employee from Canada. So best I can tell from my research is I will do the same for her and its her responsibility to take care of whatever her Govt requires. My question is more about cheaper ways to actually pay her. From initial research its looking like my direct deposit company doesn't support paying employees from other countries. I could do Western Union directly thru my bank for around $20 per $999 plus about $4.95 current conversion rate. Having to charge an independent contractor basically $25 a week for her pay seems a bit much, especially being my U.S. employees only pay $5 per month. Any cheaper and / or easier ways to do this any one knows of?

Paypal take a few%.
The majority of international workers accept it as a cost of doing business and it is tax deductable. |

I have quite a few remote employees these days. Everyone gets paid by Paxum and then they can choose the best way to withdraw their money.
