Mining with R9 280x question

Just got my card in today and got it all hooked up.

From reading, I should be getting 700kh/s+ but I can only pull 320ish right now.

Here's the settings I'm using for cgminer.
Quote:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
cgminer.exe --scrypt -o http://p2pool.org:8249 -u LD46r8LwCTaTRKHLfcsg73TBSSKFWk2Zaw -p x -I 13 -g 2 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 8192
Any ideas on how to get this thing running better?

Often, your cgminer configuration file is responsible for 90% of your hash rate problems. Are you using someone else's config file? If not, search for one -- they'll have already done the hard work for you.

Can you still make money with a miner if you are just getting in to it now? I read conflicting information mostly regarding the escalating complexity of the equations?

Bitcoin? Not worth it. Other coins? About $50/day per mining rig, if you build a good one. It fluctuates, though. Some days $35, other days $140. Never seen below $35 in a day though for one rig.

that thread concurrency looks very low for this card

edit*

this config is not for this card. Do a google search for "r9 280x cgminer config" and youll get a better config specifically for this card
