Nice anti-cookie firefox extension

Found this firefox extension:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...cting-cookies/
What it does,is deleting cookies which was formed during visit of site,so once you close tab they got auto deleted(everything what was formed when using that tab).
Nice way to avoid tracking and cluttering .

let's say you were working for awe , they give you something like a 14 day cookie so if said viewer had the block on there and decided to sign up later that day you would not get the sale

Both Firefox and Chrome comes with built-in private browsing mode now which works exactly the same way. It removes cookies, histories etc. as soon as user closes browser.

I using that already, but this is more effective as it remove them while session is still working.

Another useful use of this,is to check behavior of sponsor link codes, for example i wanted to see difference in link code with full price and link code with reduced price without restarting browser.

Not all sites set new settings on cookie when you try that.

This chart is from 2009!

http://www.amnavigator.com/blog/2009...mportant-data/

With the popularity of "private browsing" and ad blockers if that chart was today it would certainly show a greater loss.

At XloveCam.com we encourage all new visitors to register as free members -- that would preserve the affiliate's or the site's "ownership" of that Member's rev-share allocation.

We are discussing other measures in first party "tracking" to replace a lot of cookie functions as well as for Member account identification.

That being said, I still foresee cookies in the future exclusively to be used for website personalization -- their original intent.

Ah, but things are "better than ever!" for the sponsors now getting the sales which were actually generated by their affiliates. Wait till they see what magically happens when the affiliates are no longer around to push their sites for free. Can anyone guess what happens?

That is probably why manwhich network insist if you want them as affiliate to create link paysitename.com/pornhub , that way even without cookie it's visible from where it coming.
