Paying Foreign Vendors

I'm about to release a site that will involve paying foreign (outside US) models on a regular basis. Anyone have any recommendations for services that wire or cut checks? Could be as simple as paypal but I figured I'd ask those in the know first.

It sounds like Paxum is right up your street. Paxum is a global ewallet payment service in use by the majority of the online adult industry.

With Paxum you can pay as many people as you want at once, with just an email address, no matter where they live in the world. "Outside US" is far too broad a description for anybody to really help you.

It is important to offer payment methods that your models want to be paid through and that will vary depending upon where they are located. Services like Paxum and Payoneer will probably be more popular than checks, wires or paypal, (assuming people have the multiple acceptable id documents needed to get them) but there are sometimes local solutions that the models will prefer above all others.

Best bet is to ask the models what they prefer and see if it is viable for you, or research options available in the specific countries you need.

Don't pay in Reais, Malay Ringgits, or Turkish Lira - those are a huge pain in the ass.

Paxum and Payoneer are the easiest because your performers can withdraw to a bank account. Paypal is even easier in countries where it is available.

Eventually you may do in many cases as I do and make a wire transfer to the local studio manager who can then distribute to the performers locally. Getting and keeping a bank account is not as easy in some countries as you might expect, and for performers it can be even harder, many do not seem equal to the task for whatever reason.

Btw Ruth, to what country do you have to wire the funds to reach Paxum, so you can then distribute to models ? Is it Belize ? Or can we wire to Canada ? Belize doesnt sound too good..
