Russia lied about Crimea election resualts

Russia reported that the vote for Crimea's annexation had a turnout of 83% with a 97% in favor vote. There were of course no international observers nor any independent sources. Everyone had to just trust Russia whom had armed solders in the streets.

Turns out the real results were briefly made public prior to them being snatched down. The other results showed that only 30% of the population voted in total and only 15% voted for annexation and 15% against.

Meaning it was no where near a slam dunk as the Russian's try to present to the world.. Imagine that..

This a fucking shit! Im from Crimea and all my friends and acquaintances voted for annexation with RU, the lie is only in that, that actually voted a 2/3 of population. That part of the population which was against annexation, those simply didn't go on elections, but them about 30-35%
therefore Crimean people consider that actually results were about 65% of the population for accession

A lot of webmasters/designers/coders and even affiliate program owners live in Crimea. I believe that many GFY members have contacts there. So you can ask the Crimeans directly on what they think about joining Russia. Personally I don't know a single one who is not happy with that. Maybe you guys know them? Please don't shy, share your sources here.

So you think there is any realistic chance that 83% of the population turned out and 97% voted in favor of such a massive change in their direction?


83% turn out and 97% in favor in an election is something that only happens in dictatorships where the dictator does the voting..
