So here is my question... If the tube sites are slaughtering the industry.. (And here I am just trying to get started) by saturating the market with free content.. Has anyone tried to use them (tube sites) to their benefit?

Like this.. I am in the process of launching a models site this week.. She is a cam model and her site will be 100% exclusive. If you like her and want her content you will have to join her site. So as a marketing tactic... Would it be a good idea to make 3-4 minute teaser videos out of the 20-30 minute vids and start up a profile in her name on several tube sites?

I fully understand the fact that if people just want to see some skin the free material on the tube sites are all they need.... But if they like that specific model and want to see more of her....

Is anyone doing this?

Check the tube sites you want to upload her videos to first. Anything similar? Other cam girls/solo girls doing this? Don't try to reinvent the wheel mate, rinse and repeat what others do. Research is where you will learn and find out for yourself. Don't believe what people tell you online.

Yea i would put short teasers/clips of full videos on all the tube sites. Porn addicts are like drug addicts they will always want more. if you give them 2 mins of a 20 min video they will want to see the whole video also upload short vids of her doing other things then performing on camera.

Why not.

You could even use Youtube depending on what type of content it is. The best tubes for this will be the ones giving the best exposure to the type of content you wish to share. It's hard to give you options without knowing the type of content of her that you have.

Depending on how you can market her that way it could be your #1 source of visitor followed by social media if you market her that way too.

Solo sites have other issues to worry about not tubes, yes use tubes to your advantage. You need to worry about full site rip sites.

You will likely need to be ever vigilant about people posting full videos on tube sites and pirating sites. That said, putting teasers on tube sites can work. Don't expect great ratios, but if the return is worth the time you put into the extra exposure can't hurt.

Other sites will do that for you too. They put their watermark on the video so you can thank them for their help.

Yes, you'll have to partner with the tubes so you get listed and promoted and just make watermarked teaser clips. Thats kind of what everyone is doing now.

If you post clips without partnering some tubes will ban you and delete your videos.
If you partner with them then in many cases you get your video and your banner under it, which is great for branding and getting more clicks.

I believe in most cases they will want to basically be an affiliate of yours. You will put your clips up on their sites and they will send traffic and if that traffic converts they get paid like an affiliate would.

Smaller tube sites likely won't require this kind of thing.

That's a word I have heard a lot the last couple of days Affiliate... I have no idea how to do that.. But I was looking in my CCBILL Admin panel and I see affiliate tracking info available.. I guess I have to ask ccbill what it is and how to set it up???

create an affiliate program for your site so you can pay people to promote you and when you register on the tube sites ask them for a pro account. They may want to see model releases and info on your affiliate program.

Since you are new I will give you this advice. never put anything on your site or anywhere on the internet unless it has some watermark on it. Videos, teaser clips, pics, everything needs a watermark.
Your content eventually will get stolen and posted on another site without your permission, and if its not watermarked you just gave your work to someone for free. If its watermarked then you get free promotion and when youre new and small every little bit helps.

Unfortunately this board has numerous threads about how to remove watermarks and replace them with the affiliates own. youtube and the tubes are filled with re-watermarked videos.
