Digital Angel Dollars Are Kicking Affiliates Into Shape
Here's an email they sent out today, they are going back to basics. It appears that sponsors need to school some of their naughty/dumb affiliates. I hope to see more of this from other sponsors who are having similar problems
![]() "Hello, First and foremost, we apologize for the formatting of this ccbill generated email ahead of time. We know it can be frustrating. This email may or may not apply to you, but please take the time to review it to see if you fall under what is being described within. The issue is related to affiliates of Digital Angel Dollars not following simple guidelines when it comes to using content for promo galleries. Over the years we have had one simple policy in place that is meant to protect our more valuable content as well as to increase affiliate sales / conversions. The rule is based on a simple principle, if you don't show all the goods right away, people will want to see more. Much like if you see a girl naked right away, chances are you will forget her and move on. But if you see her dressed, you will most likely work really hard to find her good stuff or hell maybe even buy a membership. It's a simple concept and it works. The rule is not to use content that shows our models doing hardcore, full spreads, blowjobs, etc. You are to use topless content ONLY. This has been the root of our success for many years and continues to prove successful. Recently we have noticed that this policy is being not just broken but trampled. With affiliates literally treating the content like it's their own and who use it not with the idea of converting a sale, but with the idea of making their own sites more valuable. Yes, we very well grasp the concept that putting images of a model's most explicit images on YOUR site will drive traffic to YOUR site, and that when this happens there is NO regard or interest in actually making a sale. At this point the content is being treated as a way to update the affiliate site and is, in consequence, hurting our sites. We make it VERY clear that should this happen, should the policy be broken, we will ban the offending affiliate account. However, apparently this is NOT enough to make some people understand that we DO NOT WANT EXPLICIT content being used. We have made great strides recently in fighting piracy and reducing the number of people ripping our sites. There is NO reason why we should be worrying about affiliates. Apparently some affiliates don't understand that protecting our business is also very much in their own interest as well. Or they simply don't care. So, effective immediately, we will be shutting down accounts of offending affiliates. Please take a moment to review your galleries to see if they fall under the infringing description. Remove them. Starting next week we will be reviewing all accounts and taking the proper action against them. If galleries are NOT removed after this notice, and after your account has been banned, we will seek financial compensation via legal action for copyright infringement. This is very serious. We take our business seriously and also wish to have affiliates make money! If one affiliate is giving all the goods away, every other affiliate in turn also gets hurt. We have had this rule in place literally for years and is clearly defined on the cash program. There should be no questions about it. It is beyond comprehension why some would take it upon themselves to circumvent the policy that is in place. Our business and the business of the hard working affiliates we have who make money, and do follow our rules, is our primary concern. We will take any measures necessary to protect it. Also, if you are an affiliate who is posting full length videos from our sites on your own tube site or elsewhere....DO NOT. Please don't think that being an affiliate entitles you to redistribute our content. We do not allow this in any shape or form. Simply don't do it. Any affiliate who carries out this practice will also be treated as stated above. Finally, if you do not like our policy, or you find you can not follow it for whatever reason, that is not our concern. You are free to choose to not promote our product. If you can not understand the concept of protecting our business, then frankly we don't see a benefit in having you as a partner. So if you find this email somehow offensive or take issue with it, please remove galleries and links, and feel free to move on. For any questions regarding content usage, please email us at ****@****, or simply read the agreement that has been available on the front page of our cash program for the last 10 years. Thank you for your time and attention. We apologize to the affiliate reading this who does not fall into the infringing category and who has promoted our sites while also following guidelines. We thank you for your business and partnership and most of all thank you for following our rules. 2013 was an amazing year for us and we thank you for joining us on the ride! Best Regards, Digital Angel Images LLC "

Way too much text for what it is. Should have run with just the first two paragraphs and called it a day.
I do agree with them though.

Desperate move by a small program who is struggling these days and is trying to ignite any kind of spark.. but it wont work. And due to this desperate move, they lost the biggest affiliate in the niche, and i assume they'll lose a couple more important ones real soon
This move reminds me of when Digital Desire reduced their membership prices. Atleast digital desire realized quickly that it was a wrong move and didn't lose affiliates in the process

I am launching my first site in a few days and I was planning on setting my prices a couple dollors lower than what I have been seeing as the norm... Is this a bad move when it comes to launching my affiliate platform? Its a solo site.. MILF, she's hot.. She is a cam model and the content is well shot.. From nude photo sets to hard photo sets to hardcore home B/G videos. I was planning on launching at $22.89 per month recurring. discounts on 3 moths, and a year in advance and $39.95 for 1 month non-recurring Thoughts? |

well, i hope all the smart paysite owners can understand that when their sites dont sell, first thing to review is their marketing focus and goal execution, they can't just publish a site and allow all kind of affiliates to push traffic to the site and expect millions dollar sales generate, no its not a number game, its market analysis and smart marketing approach and correct group of affiliates with steady search engine traffic they should be targetted. Blaming pirate images or videos are childish perspective, focus on solving problem not exaggerate it and never ended blaming, u can't make a buck means u suck, because at the same time other paysites or studios make a ton. same as tube tgp and all sorts of business models.

It's a shame that they don't really care for their affiliates or update their promo content more than once every year or so. Their program was decent back in the day.
