"As you know, eBay was penalized by Google either via a manual action or algorithmic action or both. Google and eBay won't confirm it, but it is clear from the SearchMetrics charts.

Google search is not a regulated public utility. They can do business however they please within legal commercial restraints.

Some think Google should be regulated ... But Google has not reached the tipping point of antitrust under the USA Sherman Antitrust Act. However, in the EU they are damn close to having 93+% of the search market ... If the shit will hit the fans for Google it will be in the EU Courts

I bet if we go to court for the way they cut us off back in 2010, with even their own lawyer and marketing director telling me personally it was a bogus reason to block us forever, we have a big chance of winning and getting compensated. No funds here though.

They can make or break your entire workfuture if you're not a public company but work under your own name. No second chances, ever. I spent hundreds of thousands on them for they were 97% of the market here, they're not God and should focus on their business, not try to think for others.

You're probably thinking of AdSense.

I've seen people mention on webmasterworld that spending $100k+ per month on AdWords still means jack to Google - good luck trying to contact a human if you have an enquiry or problem, cos you're not big enough to matter.
