I fail to see why desire to having different style home is called eccentric.
I like that era as well,most of people were wearing suits then and know how to behave unlike modern times where most of the people acting like peasants.

There is a guy who does this with the Victorian era.

He's quite a catch, handsome, and keeps a nice home, assuming you could deal with the gayness part. *Admire*

A few years ago at the Ottawa Science & Technology Museum, they had 1940's living room set up complete with 40's looking furniture, carpet, props, and a 40's radio playing 40's music and newscasts. It was so cool to sit down in that room - I felt "transported" somehow. Interesting experience.

And if anyone cares, there's a 40's music station on XM/Sirius Satellite radio (Chanel 4 I think).

It's interesting to watch people that set their lives up in situations like this - the very detail they get to to make it as authentic as they can - and the expenses they will get to to do it.
