You can go and have a quick look at them all but you wouldn't have time to do them all properly (those you can get into that is ie parliament, big ben, westminster)

Tussauds is a waste of time nowadays. The tower, museum/s, london eye and HMS belfast is doable (if you are quick) and then take a tour buss to do the rest and a lot more too.

Not from London, but it is clear that it is doable, however you may not be able to do them thoroughly. Like inspecting every item in the museums etc.

There are a lot of excellent museums that would take you a week to see them all unless you do them at Chinese tourist speed. Start with the tour bus. Excellent value and lets you decide what you want to see if you just have a couple of days.

Don't bother

HMS Belfast,
If you are a student of naval warfare

Sherlock Holmes museum

He is fiction - for the stupid -read the books on the way back

Big Ben

Its a clock

The London Eye

A very expensive way of going up and then down.

Madame Tussauds

Type "famous people " into google

British Museum, Natural History Museum

Spend a morning at each, then go to Brick Lane and do an Indian, followed by a band

and next day a Chinese in china town followed by a club.

I would even advise anyone to eat in China Town unless you like really crap Chinese food. Just outside China Town is a LOT better.

Not sure if trolling or not.. But just out of curiosity, why shouldn't I bother? I mean these are the historical landmarks of London.. it's like going to Paris and not visiting Eiffel tower, Notre Dame or something like that.

The Shard is more expensive, so where to go to check out the view?

St Pauls.

The whispering gallery is amazing. You stand on one side and get your companion to stand on the other side of the dome, opposite you. You then literally whisper against the wall and magically they can hear you on the other side! It really is fucking cool.

Then the view from the top is wonderful.

Hm that whispering gallery sounds interesting..
Btw what are the waiting lines for National History Museum and British Museum? I know that it's free to enter, however should we be there before opening to get inside fast, or it doesn't really matter.. it's always packed with people?

St Pauls is a must see. Museums get busy but queues are usually no longer than 20 minutes and they are busy inside but mostly with people rushing in to get around quick and back out again which is a waste.

The London Duck used to be a great tour but they have had a few sink so not so sure now. We are theatre lovers and go pretty much every month. Tickets are pretty easy to get at the moment (Leicester Square) and places like The London Dungeon are worth a look too if you get the chance.

I went up there when I was at school and you need it completely empty or it doesn't work.

Last time I went to the Natural History Museum you could walk straight in with no queue. The place gets busy inside but not crowded.

You can get a ticket for the London Eye that also takes you on a short boat trip down to Tower Bridge and back if the Duck had interested you.

Nice to know, however I'm still thinking about the Eye + Madame T. combo ticket.. however not sure if it's really worth it (Madame T.) if there are so many landmarks to see..

If you go to Madame Tussauds get a ticket with a fixed time on it because without that the queue gets ridiculous. Never been in but I've been past it quite a lot.

Of all the amazing things to do in London, standing in long queues to see some wax works of famous people would be something I'd never ever ever even contemplate doing.

Each to his own though.

I could not disagree more......... China Town is AWESOME for Chinese food. I recommend Manchurian Legends - its quite amazing. And Baozi Inn - my favourite.

You should spend at least half a day including: Harrods, Hyde Park, Regents Street, Warrik Avenue (remember the song?) etc

I second the Indian in Brick Lane

You could also take a night trip on the River Thames you will see most of the items on your list from the outside, plus they will feed you dinner....
