Guess you did hear about the new executive order he signed that gives the government the right to violate HIPPA privacy laws in a means to screen gun owners.
In total this year, he has by passed congress and signed 25 new executive orders for gun control. So as usual, Cheese Dick has his head up his ass and doesn't know what he's talking about

Let's see how it works out for Iraq.
![]() "It?s the holy grail of gun control, as demanded by Michael Bloomberg and his minions as well as Dianne Feinstein and her associates in Congress: a total ban on firearms, other than those used by the government. And what government is embracing this ?progressive? stance on ?dangerous weapons, you might ask? The Al-Qaeda associated group known as ISIS has just made that declaration for all land under its control in Iraq . . ." http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/201...isis-soldiers/ And of course, we could also take a realistic look at how that's worked out for Australia too. ![]() http://gunsnfreedom.com/17-years-aft...ut-of-control/ |

I have a friend of mine who tells me he wants to move to Washington because "Obama is trying to take his guns away". He doesn't seem to understand that Obama is charge of the country, not just California, and any laws he signs into office has the same weight in Washington.

What I don't get is why the USA is so resistant to change. Sooner or later you are going to HAVE to do something by way of 'control', you're running out of options. But furthermore, why is it that so many are convinced that if you bring in some controls it means you lose the right to own a gun? It doesn't. It means that not every psycho who wanders in off the street can own one. It may mean that you have to qualify in some way to own guns. It may mean you have to get a two or three day certification on gun safety, use and ownership before being allowed to own one. 'Control' doesn't mean 'ban'. Two different things entirely. But sooner or later the glock will run out and...I mean the CLOCK will run out and there'll be just too damn many people getting shot by morons, psychos and idiots who should not have been allowed to buy them in the first place. This wide open freedom the NRA crowd is so insistent on keeping isn't working and everyone knows it, even them I suspect. Want a gun? Fine, get one. Providing you can pass the checks and balances in place, that's all. Or keep on the way it is now with100% "freedom" and zero control whatsoever. Take your chances with the next mall or school shooting. See how your 'total freedom, zero control' policy gets you in the next ten or twenty years. (when these mass shootings are taking place do you Americans really feel 'free'??) Controls won't fix the problem though. Fact is nothing will 'fix' the problem. Has having them in Canada fixed the problem here? No. But it HAS reduced it to a slightly more manageable level. There are certainly problems and gripings going on about it here, but those could easily serve as a learning curve for possible US policy changes. But really, to someone who wants to buy a handgun for protection, what the hell is wrong with having to fucking register it? Or be trained in how to use and care for it? Quit fighting the control already, because it's coming, whether you want to admit it or not. Like the black president many of you denied was coming back in 2008, so is this. I'm as against any sort of ban as the next guy, but I sure sleep better at night knowing that the idiot with the smarts of a sea slug down the street from me can't qualify for a gun permit, but I can.

http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2...ype=blogs&_r=0 here's 23 of them 1. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal agencies to make relevant data available to the federal background check system. 2. Address unnecessary legal barriers, particularly relating to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, that may prevent states from making information available to the background check system. 3. Improve incentives for states to share information with the background check system. 4. Direct the Attorney General to review categories of individuals prohibited from having a gun to make sure dangerous people are not slipping through the cracks. 5. Propose rulemaking to give law enforcement the ability to run a full background check on an individual before returning a seized gun. 6. Publish a letter from ATF to federally licensed gun dealers providing guidance on how to run background checks for private sellers. 7. Launch a national safe and responsible gun ownership campaign. 8. Review safety standards for gun locks and gun safes (Consumer Product Safety Commission). 9. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal law enforcement to trace guns recovered in criminal investigations. 10. Release a DOJ report analyzing information on lost and stolen guns and make itwidely available to law enforcement. 11. Nominate an ATF director. 12. Provide law enforcement, first responders, and school officials with proper training for active shooter situations. 13. Maximize enforcement efforts to prevent gun violence and prosecute gun crime. 14. Issue a Presidential Memorandum directing the Centers for Disease Control to research the causes and prevention of gun violence. 15. Direct the Attorney General to issue a report on the availability and most effectiveuse of new gun safety technologies and challenge the private sector to developinnovative technologies. 16. Clarify that the Affordable Care Act does not prohibit doctors asking their patients about guns in their homes. 17. Release a letter to health care providers clarifying that no federal law prohibits them from reporting threats of violence to law enforcement authorities. 18. Provide incentives for schools to hire school resource officers. 19. Develop model emergency response plans for schools, houses of worship and institutions of higher education. 20. Release a letter to state health officials clarifying the scope of mental health services that Medicaid plans must cover. 21. Finalize regulations clarifying essential health benefits and parity requirements within ACA exchanges. 22. Commit to finalizing mental health parity regulations. 23. Launch a national dialogue led by Secretaries Sebelius and Duncan on mental health. I love the last one, since Sebelius has supposedly quit and Arne Duncan is the Secretary of Education, what does that have to do with mental health and guns? I have an issue with many of these, but the biggest is that he bypassed congress to pass these. It was never introduced to congress as far as I know and a lot of this violates patient doctor privilege. And I love that he wants to nominate a new director of the ATF after the last guy he nominated fucked up so badly I have no problem with background checks, but I do have a problem with violating privacy laws. Our government is already too intrusive.

But here are the facts on guns and deaths: Firearms were used to kill 30,143 people in the United States in 2005, the most recent year with complete data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.1 A total of 17,002 of these were suicides, 12,352 homicides, and 789 accidental firearm deaths
So more depressed people are shooting themselves than others

Vendzilla, stop avoiding the question.
My question is : "Do you seriously think Obama is coming for your guns?". You said, in an insulting and long-winded way, "Yes". I then asked you "Exactly which executive order(s) gives Obama the right to take your gun(s) away?" You did not answer the question. I will try again. Do you, Vendzilla, think that Obama is coming to take your ("YOUR") guns, away? Try this: Take your index finger and start scratching the side of your head while you think real hard for an answer.

You are a douche because you are half cocked, ill-informed, mean, self centered and want to ram your angry agenda down the throats of others.
Between anger and your drinking, you should not be around firearms. Your fear is that you will be found not fit and they will take your "boom book sticks" away and somehow blacks on welfare which you pay for will still have theirs and scarier still, the gay blacks will have bigger guns than you. |

...and by the way the second amendment is for the protection of a militia which in modern day warfare against a country such as ours is obsolete.
Nothing like holding up a document about rights written by those who only gave white land owning males all the "rights" in their time. Your time has come and gone. |

Obama is the leader of the free world, so I'm pretty sure he is not personally going door-to-door for anything. Nobody but a South Park cartoon character would think he was. No matter how inflammatory and absurd the way you word it, however, the most cursory glance at current law demonstrates that gun rights are under attack. Whether you think that is good or bad is a matter of opinion. That gun rights are under attack is a matter of basic fact.

As far as needing a constitutional lawyer, nah, anyone with the capacity to read knows what happened in the supreme court 4 years ago. Here's what they said... The Second Amendment provides Americans a fundamental right to bear arms that cannot be violated by state and local governments, the Supreme Court ruled Monday in a long-sought victory for gun rights advocates. THIS STORY Lawsuit filed against Chicago's new gun laws Supreme Court expands gun rights The 5 to 4 decision does not strike down any gun-control laws, nor does it elaborate on what kind of laws would offend the Constitution. One justice predicted that an "avalanche" of lawsuits would be filed across the country asking federal judges to define the boundaries of gun ownership and government regulation. But Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr., who wrote the opinion for the court's dominant conservatives, said: "It is clear that the Framers . . . counted the right to keep and bear arms among those fundamental rights necessary to our system of ordered liberty." http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...062802134.html So you completely don't know a thing about the subject, But please keep talking!

Nobody thinks that 145 pound shoulder pad wearing cigarette smoking Obama is going to come and take the guns himself. As usual law enforcement personal with the IQ of room temperature will take the guns.

To answer the OP's question, I don't "believe" anything. I know, as we all do who live here and buy guns and ammo regularly, that our rights are under attack from many sides, and that we are the victims of a constant media smear campaign.
I also "suspect" that Obama's rhetoric is sponsored in no small part by weapons manufacturers themselves who have benefited GREATLY from the "gun panic" reporting record sales and even having to expand manufacturing to keep up with demand for ammo. I doubt its a coincidence that just as some news sources were reporting demand for guns and ammo in the consumer market beginning to subside to pre-panic levels, Obama starts praising Australia's gun grabbing policies, starting another wave of people looking to arm up and stock up before it becomes illegal. I don't know for sure, but, follow the money right?

Working for Video Secrets and AWE, my two favorite people to work with we both gay and I have built a couple gay sites. I miss working with Eddie at VS and Douglas at AWE, I built several gay model pages for his models. I met my first openly gay person while in the Navy, we are still friends over 30 years later. My oldest friend I have known longer than you have been alive. So pretty much, you can blow your accusations out your hateful ass! I hate having a bad leader in the white house, nothing more. Go Fuck Yourself!

And easy access to guns with no checks is not helped by pointing out that this easy access is allowing 17k people a year to kill themselves. |
