There are so many variables the only sensible answer is to test it.
I have one client who has trials that convert to paid at around 1:25 another at around 1:150. Depends on their content, their site, the sign up process, your traffic, etc etc. Test and measure. |

yes, that is right, i have for example amakings where i cant convert from trial nothing, and naughtyrevenue where the rebills are making me nice money. i am always using trials as option, so, i have been more asking, if i put on my sites links without trials, will the member buy anyway, or will less members buy, because it is not cheap trial? that is the question. the members who buy trial and rebill, versus members who cant buy trial and buy full ... where is more money? anyone have tried that and is that nice to share please?

Often times you can talk with the sponsor and they will be willing to tell you sometimes what converts better - if they are worth their salt they will anyway, they will because they want to do what's best for themselves - so talk to them and see what they say - if they convert one better than the other, test that and see - I've done it before and in most cases that does it - but I'd talk first with the sponsor themselves and see what they experience overall - and go from there.

Depends also on the type of site, if it's a niche or a site with personality, with not that much competition then I'd go with no trial option, since if the niche finds its fans they're more likely to get converted no matter if there's a trial offered or not.
If it's more generic than, as recommended above I'd prefer to test and see the results, I reckon that to convert a trial member to a full member you need to have a LOT to offer these days - be it top content, wealth of it, frequent updates, engaging member area, bonus offerings etc.. so you really need to test to see if the paysite converts trials or not. Worth to check out the member area as well.

All depends on the site and your traffic. No fixed answer to this.

If your traffic caters to cheapskates looking for free stuff or if you're promoting sponsors who don't do regular updates and have old content, trials is likely the better option.
If you have quality SEO traffic or you're promoting top sponsors with regular HD updates, you may do better with full price joins and no trials.

As a revshare affiliate or small paysite owner? No trials.
