How much money do you spend on software/suites monthly?

I currently have the Office Suite and the Adobe Suite, each are around $50 a month. I also find myself purchasing other packages here and there throughout the month, plus software upgrades. In the past I always pushed off software upgrades, but within the last year I have been upgrading regularly and have found it worthwhile most of the time. That one extra task that the update adds to your software can cover the price in spades.

I would guess that I'm around $300 a month on average in software. Worth every penny.

What are the benefits of the office suite? Seems like a waste of money to me, but of course I have never used it. Seems like an excessive price when my old copy of Office 2007 works perfectly for everything I need. Is it just office over the Internet with cloud storage? I'm just wondering what justifies the ongoing price.

I don't know what I was thinking. It's around $100 a year, not $50 a month. And you can use it on five devices.

I'm kind of not a fan of software as a service, unless there is a reason for regular upgrades to be needed e.g. something like StatsRemote where third parties can make changes out of their control and customers need fast updates.

If Adobe stopped coming up with anything new I want, I kind of don't think I should pay again.

What are some of the cool new features for either of those suites?

I like free stuff. That's why I'm borrowing my cyber friend's copy. That's extra thousands I can spend on hookers this year.

Adobe have really added some great programs, Speedgrade for one, and the changes that have been made to sound control is amazing.

I don't spend anything.

I have a very old version of Photoshop that still works fine. All of my other programs I use are either purchased or free.

If you are paying $300 a month, that's $3600 a year. I'm sure you can write it off your taxes, but.... $3600 is a nice vacation.

I'm going to try to stick with cs6 for a few more years then I'll have creative cloud. Right now - nothing. Mostly I do coding work and there isn't that much change with text or IDE software.

I still use Office 2000 for Outlook . Open Office works just as good for anything else I need to do and it's free
