Crockett, Mark Prince, Etc. I Haven't Heard Anyone Address This Yet:
How about that new video of Jonathan Gruber (architect of ObamaCare) caught on camera bragging about how they kept the American public in the dark about the reality of ObamaCare because they knew people would never accept it if they told the truth.
And of course he calls American voters "stupid" for falling for it. ![]() Just like a lot of us (the NON-STUPID ones) were saying all along. And the Obama-Maniacs denied it all along in their hypnotic state of pure ObamaMania. "Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage, and basically, you know, call it the stupidity of the American voter or whatever, but basically that was really, really critical to getting the thing to pass," Jonathan Gruber said at the Annual Health Economics Conference. Here, you can read the story for youself AND watch and see this asshole smirking while saying it on video: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/affordab...erican-voters/ I guess that makes crockett "stupid" in the eyes of the Obama administration. ![]() |

This is the TRUTH coming out. How about you address this instead of attacking ME? I'm not the one who did any of this. I was just curious why YOU didn't come on GFY raising hell about being tricked by politicians. And now they are laughing at you and calling you "stupid". Your reaction? Ignore it and attack me? Huh? Come on! This asshole is sitting there openly saying that you are stupid for believing them and laughing about how they lied to you on purpose to get things passed. |

![]() This story has been gaining steam all week, so far four different videos have surfaced showing this arrogant douchebag essentially bragging about the subterfuge and obfuscation used to keep Americans in the dark about exactly what was in the aca. What cracked me up was that senile old witch Pelosi saying today that she never heard of the guy before and he had nothing to do with writing the bill, it didn't take some reporter long to find video of her effusively talking Gruber up back in 2009 and Gruber's own words proudly proclaiming the fact that he wrote portions of the bill. ![]() The potentially damaging part though was Gruber saying that the law was deliberately written so only people in the state exchanges would be getting subsidies/tax credits to help pay for their insurance, this is the part of the law that's going to the Supreme Court next year over the fact that subsidies/tax credits are being given to people signing up on the Federal exchange in contravention of the law as it was written. Supreme Court Justices watch the news too you know ![]() |

Why don't you quote this horrible thing I typed with my own fingers that has offended you so badly that you simply can not comment on what this asshole is calling people like YOU on that video. I guess if he had been Republican (instead of working for Obama and writing ObamaCare) you would be on here screaming to the high heavens full of indignation and anger. |

I'm sorry, I don't watch Fox News 24/7 like you do.. So I'm not on the up and up about what you are even talking about as I've been diving most of the day.
Anyway someone says something that proves Robbie is right.. What else is new, we all know Robbie is always right, I mean he tells us all time. |

So a quick look see around the net and seems this guy was responding to a question about transparency in legislation. Your smoking gun comments about this being a tax.. Were directed to how "congress" not the American people perceived the bill. Even the NYTimes spells it out pretty well.. Quote:
As for the other about Americans being stupid.. While watching the "full video" and not just the Fox News 20 second clips. It's pretty clear he is talking about how bills in general including ACA get passed. He was simply saying the govt depends on people not being fully informed on this stuff. Just like Congress was kept in the dark about all the dirty shit in the Patriot Act or it would of never been passed. Or how things like the Republican "jobs" bill doesn't actually create jobs but is just a guise for tax cuts to big business.. ACA just like any other bill is full of shit that the people whom write is don't want you to know about. So what's new about that? This is why congress should have to vote bill by Bill and not stuff shit loads of things into a bigger bill. So yes, if you look at 20 second sound bites it sounds damning.. However if you watch the full video of what he said, the context of what he said was pretty clear. Of course 20s is all you guys have for attention span, hence you running off like monkeys to post your band new 2 year old news.. |

Also Robbie, it's so funny you are so sure your little 20 second sound bites with no context are the "truth". Yet multiple investigations even those led by Republicans on Benghazi and you still claim Hillary and the Obama admin were covering things up.
Funny how all those investigations were not enough "truth" for you then, but a single comment is all the truth you need for something you have already made up your mind about. Funny how that works.. |

Crockett...I just linked to CBS News. Not Fox.
It's also on every news channel (maybe not MSNBC?). But if you want to accept that "spin" you are putting on it then be my guest. Everybody else in the world can simply watch the video and hear what he says about ObamaCare. Doesn't matter what question he was asked. What matters is what HE SAYS. I was just curious how you would react to this. I now have my answer. The guy is calling YOU "stupid" and you are pretty much showing that he is right about that. Politicians can tell the people anything they want...and the people will believe it. Certainly not like it was back when true liberals used to question authority and NEVER trust the govt. ![]() |

However you won't bitch about those because your right wing talking heads don talk about that stuff... You guys just do nothing but beat a dead horse and repeat what your masters tell you to say.. Have a legitimate bitch instead of GOP talking points that are nothing but political grandstanding.. Then you might get a different response. |

I've pointed out many times that I am appalled by the war and corporate welfare going on, not just my distress over ACA. I'll add that I also believe in personal liberties and I preferred Obama to Hilary in the primaries partly because he promised to close Guantanamo. To be clear: I voted for Obama the first time. I just came back from the drugstore. A medication I used to pay $10 for is now $201. This is not the first time I've seen this since ACA.

The whole thing is pretty interesting. First off guy just needs to keep his mouth shut i mean come on what a fuck up. So i guess that means Romney wont be running
![]() But he is right the American people are stupid they can tell you all about the lasted fashion, music or facebook news but don't follow politics. Look at the voter turn out for 2014 36.3 percent of eligible voters cast votes the worst turnout in 72 years. Now the right wants to remove the medical device tax and such that fund these subsides. Now keep in mind since Obamacare kicked in all the insurance company rates have made a 2-6% profit since Obamacare kicked in. So if these things are repealed these insurance company's profits are gonna go through the roof. You think then these issuance will lower rates then? lol well we all know the answer to that. Then the American tax payer is gonna have to make up for those lost taxes. Till we get rid of the Harry Reids,Nancy Pelosi, John Boehners and the Mitch Mcconnells and the American people actually give a shit before the fact and not after shit is only gonna get worse. If its a Democrat or Republican and it speaks watch it very closely. To many wolfs in sheep's clothing on both side. Also till we get of this us versus them mentally shit wont go no were. This aint a fucking sporting event you are dealing with peoples lives. As Brad Pitt said in the ending of Killing Them Softly "AMERICA IS NOT A COUNTRY, IT'S A BUSINESS."

Perhaps if more people of the right looked at other issues other than what the GOP talking points are, perhaps they might be taken with a bit more seriousness. This is the point I was getting at. You will never see these guys bitching and moaning about the NSA because if they did then they couldn't just whine about Obama, they would then also have to hold their team under fire. This is the same reason they won't bitch about the bankers never being held accountable, because those same bankers bank rolled both the Democrats and Republicans so of course it's on no ones talking points memos.l And while the righties love to talk about their constitutional rights, they have no issues denying other people's rights hence the reason they won't bitch about gitmoe.. Not to mention these same guys bitched and moaned about Obama sending troops into Pakistan to kill bin Laden, yet they fully support us bombing Syria.. I'm glad that you aren't focused on just the GOP talking points. While I can respect anyone's valid claims about say yours on ACA. Most of these guys however just repeat the same talking points that the talking heads spew out. Never any original thoughts, just whatever the current memo of the day is. |

"The Congressional Budget Office and the Joint Committee on Taxation scored the individual mandate as increasing revenue by $4 billion in 2016, and, on average, ?an estimated $5 billion will be collected per year over the 2017?2024 period.? Whether they viewed the mandate as a ?tax? or not would not have affected their analysis because the economic effect is the same whether it is called a tax or a penalty. That penalty is collected under the Internal Revenue Code and policy makers have always claimed ? and detractors complained about ? the fact that individuals would have report it on their tax returns ?as an addition to income tax liability.? That same office ? which produced a flurry of cost estimates throughout the legislative process ? was also plainly clear that healthy people would have to subsidize sick people in a larger health care insurance pool. In this letter dated November 30, 2009 to then-Democratic Senator Evan Bayh (IN): ?some provisions of the legislation would tend to decrease or increase the premiums paid by all insurance enrollees, while other provisions would tend to increase the premiums paid by healthier enrollees relative to those paid by less healthy enrollees or would tend to increase the premiums paid by younger enrollees relative to those paid by older enrollees.? That concept of healthy people subsidizing the sick was also widely covered in media reports. In a Sep. 29, 2009 story titled, ?Age and higher premiums go together,? Associated Press reporter Erica Werner explained that the various reform bills making their way through Congress rely on a concept called ?community rating,? in which insurers would only be allowed to vary premiums by certain factors such as age, geographic area and tobacco use, within certain limits. Tying the rates of younger and healthier people to the rates of older and sicker beneficiaries causes the former to pay more. In the House, Democrats sought to impose ?an age rating limit of 2 to 1, meaning that a 60-year-old could only be charged twice as much as a 20-year-old based on age,? Werner wrote, while the Senate measure had ?originally had proposed a 5 to 1 age rating limit.? The question was relentlessly discussed in health committees and the White House?s very public webpage about President Barack Obama?s own health care proposal states that he wants to ?limit premium variation based on age.? In fact, the president addressed the issue repeatedly while making the public case for reform. During a 2009 forum with the AARP, Obama explained that ?part of the insurance reforms we want to institute is to make sure that there?s what?s called a community rating principle? that would ?reduce costs or level out costs for older Americans.? At a bipartisan White House forum on health care the following year, Obama said that healthy and sick people would enroll in a large insurance pool in order to better balance the risk and the cost of insurance. ?[Y]ou get the healthy and the young people alongside the not-so-healthy and the older people. But we?re all kind of spreading our risk, because each of us don?t know at any given time what might happen,? Obama explained. The idea of cross-subsidization was routinely used by Republican critics and lawmakers to slam Obama?s health care effort in 2009 and 2010, but it had been embraced by the GOP during debate over President Bill Clinton?s health care bill. In fact, an alternative to Clinton?s plan sponsored by Republican Sens. John Chafee (RI) and Bob Dole (KS) would have ?spread risks and costs more broadly? by requiring insurers to adopt ?modified community rating.? Lawmakers were aware that this aspect of health reform could be seen as controversial, but they spoke about it openly without attempting to hide its effect. As Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) explained during a February 2, 1994 Senate Finance Committee hearing on the matter, the issue was ?a given.? ?Well, I think it is almost a given that-it is a little more controversial on community rating, but it is almost a given that there is going to be some sort of community rating, modified community rating, and eliminating cherry-picking, et cetera,? he said." |
