My XBIZ Online Industry Votes and WHY I voted for them - Shocking Choices!!!!!
MY INTERNET INDUSTRY XBIZ AWARDS REVEALED!
**** Disclaimer 1 ***** I love you all. You know that. It's just that today, these are my favorite children. Daddy will still love you tomorrow. Now give me a hug before bed......... **** Disclaimer 2 ***** I will post my GFY Awards Votes When I do them later!!!!!! ![]() WHO I VOTED FOR AN WHY! Congrats Suckas! I never really vote in the Industry awards or participate in any way, but I probably should, so I voted in the XBIZ Online Voting. Here's who I voted for and why! Business Development Executive of the Year - Ross Allen I've known Ross for almost 10 years at this point. He's a survivor, knows the game, and is with a company that is still alive and kicking after the whole free porn shift the industry took nearly 9 years ago at this point. Their business is multi-faceted and they've don'e a great job staying in the game and keep on pushing forward at what they are good at. Brand Ambassador of the Year - Joey Gabra Joey is the new Joe E. He knows everyone, he's very charming and well liked, and really knows the mobile space and the trends in the industry as they sit currently. I think he's a great businessman, he stays true to what he promises, and he's not someone that you have to worry about trusting in a space like ours. He brings warm and fuzzy vibes to the part of the space he works in. He's the friendliest terrorist I know. Marketing Executive of the Year - Sam Rakowski Sam is one of the hardest working guys I have ever seen work a trade show. He works his tail off and has been an incredible asset to Mr Skin. You can count on Sam to deliver on things that he commits to, and he has a level of integrity not always matched by folks in the adult space over the past 14 years that I've been around. I would trust Sam with my farm animals any day. Senior Leadership Award - Steve Winyard Many people who know me will find this one extremely shocking. Steve really took a beating with the rest of the guys from ICM whenever they first came into the space. Leadership is about tolerance, patience, and staying calm in the face of other people not understanding you. I hated these guys business model when they arrived. I still don't love it entirely, but you have to respect trends over business models. You have to look past your personal perceptions sometimes and give credit where credit is due. Steve is now a well liked member of the industry, and like ICM or not, he should be recognized for that. Progressive Leadership Award - Nicholas Chretian These guys have really dominated their segment of the space over the last few years. They have molded their business to fit the direction the industry has gone better than anyone so far. They are incredibly good at branding, something that I have a true affinity for. They are masters at marketing, branding, and product development. I would look for them to blow it up even bigger next year. I do no business with this company, and all I've seen all year is Crakrevenue this, and Crakrevenue that! Congrats on that. Chief Executive of the Year - Todd Glider Badoink is one of our business partners. They have done a phenomenal job over the last few years at developing products and doing things differently to set themselves aside from the noise that can sometimes overwhelm you in the adult industry. In a lot of product release scenarios, the adult space, sometimes looks and feels like Times Square. I hate Times Square. It's really noisy, and busy, and polluted with things designed to get in your face and make you give up your money. Badoink has thought outside the box, cleaned up the product offering and exploited a new selling style to put them at the top of the game. They are inspirational and the direct definition of "everything has been done already". No, no it has not. Congrats Badoink and Todd. Tech Leadership Award - AJ Hall AJ Has come a long way in 10 years. I remember when he launched Elevated X. It was thin, and it was V1.0 of a product that has really developed and become a valuable tool over time for AJ's growing list of clients. I am a NATS program, 3 of them actually, and I think AJ deserves credit for building his product into something that competes with the top level tracking softwares in the space. Proof that hard work pays off. Congrats AJ. Community Figure of the Year - Jeff Dillonaire Dillon Jeff has come a long way in the Internet marketing space. With change comes reward, and Jeff is a shining example of good things coming to those with great attitudes. The adult space was a playground for many, many years. It then became a classroom. Many learned. Many matured. Now it is once again a burgeoning industry full of opportunity again. Jeff is one of the most visible and well liked people in the Internet marketing space at this time. He is well liked, respectable, and works hard on his brands and initiatives. He gained a small edge for also being an Air Force veteran here. Sorry folks. I'm partial to fly boys. Congrats Jeff. Businessman of the Year - Stan D'Aman Stan Fiskin is someone that I have known longer than most people that I know in this industry. He has constantly changed and adapted his business and vision to the ever changing adult industry. From a modest </sarcasm> design and technology shop Envisionext in the early 2000's to the branding and marketing powerhouse Adult Centro present day, Stan charges hard and is truly a work horse when it comes to covering the space and challenging his competitors for market share. Don't forget to do things that you tell Stan you will do; he has a CRM and he isn't afraid to use it! I did not vote on the Businesswoman category because I do not know enough about ANY of the ladies nominated to do either of them any justice with a vote. Please feel free to make a suggestion and I will tally the comments recommendations and give my vote in that category to the decision of my peers. Thank your reading suckas. Eric |
