Friend of mine had a motor vehicle accident involving my car he borrowed. There was residential property damage too.
Long story short: I hired a attorney. Unknown to me, he had gambling/drinking issues. Never showed up in court. I was not the only one he did this to. He was eventually disbarred. His last name was Canfield. |

Best Attorney I have hired was J Michael Kelly in Santa Monica. The guy was a fucking beast. I think he is retired now. His law firm was a MACHINE. It was amazing to see them work. Of course it cost me tens of thousands of dollars but was nice to see such professionalism.
The worst was some small town attorney who went to court sick and basically stood there and let me lose and did not say anything. And the cunt has the nerve to try to chase me down for money he says I owe him. It is better to act as your own attorney instead of hiring a lame attorney. You just need to go to court an act confident and assert your rights. Do not let the judge or other attorney push you around. |

After getting $25k into setting up an offshore company, the lawyer informed us that the particular country wasn't font of adult business ( which we had asked him to check FIRST ) he wanted us to pay up and start again with another country.
The best part was him telling us how great it was to catch up and talk with his old friend and schoolmate... so basically we paid him 25k to chat with his buddy on the phone.

the better stories are when lame ass attorneys try and come after you only to get bitch slapped like the lame punk ass attorneys they are.
![]() 95%+ of all lawyers are dimwitted thoughtless dumbfucks who barely passed the bar. there is nothing fancy about the law other than the lingo and nomenclature. it's nothing more than research and structuring a compelling view of previous case law that favors your side. / |

Or else? Carefully let the attorney know if he/she fails to ________ by [insert date] then you will go out of your way to let everyone know your opinion of his services online. If the person drops the ball, then do some "negative" SEO keyword magic. It is not hard to find about 10 complaint boards and forums, plus YP.com, OCRegister.com and Yelp.com, to post his information. Be careful to not have it tie directly back to you, but leave enough information for the lawyer to know its you. In fact, do what I did. I even sent from an alternate email account, links to the various posts I generated. Google picked up on them pretty quickly, and so did he. Not only did he finish the work required, but provided a 75% refund on the services already paid for. Good luck!

Good Attorney?
Now there is an oxymoron if there ever was one and I am speaking from experience. I'd rather not go into detail at this time but if this thread is active in a few days I just might. For now please take my word for it, in general there is no such thing as a good or caring attorney. They're all scumbags and for those of you who may be seeking legal help if you keep that in mind chances are you?ll fare far better than to trust the pricks. |
