Yet another thing Republicans got wrong..

Seems the right has a monoply of making a big deal out of shit that turns out to be proven wrong.. Wasting shitloads of tax payers money for their own political games.

Years back it was stem cell research.. They went on and on about how humans would be farmed for body parts., meanwhile that has never happened and amazing breakthroughs co tune to happen to this days thanks to stem cell research..

When Obama was elected we had to listen to BS about death panels, Birthers, Benghazi and anything they could yell and scream about..

One of those things was the claims that Obama used the IRS to target tea party groups.. Yet once again yet another investigation led by Republicans has proven he did no such thing..

Issa's big dud: No White House connection to IRS 'scandal' - LA Times

Of course they release the findings during the Christmas holiday in hopes no one will notice, that once again they were fucking wrong and wasted a hell of a lot of tax dollars for political games..

That's an opinion piece in the editorial section of the L.A. Times by a guy who is a liberal columnist.

It's not in any way "news". It's just an opinion. No different that if you listen to Sean Hannity on the right.

Just more nonsense by the 2 party system to stir up people with "team sports" mentality to their politics.

Like usual Robbie shows up to appoligise for Republicans while tossing out the random he hates both parties tribute.. Every article that has even been written is an opinion piece Robbie.. It's an article written about the findings..
Go ahead thou and make excuses and shift blame because you yourself fell for the bs and belived the shit the right was spewing.

Again with your nauseating spin on my words, why do you do that? I haven't apologized for anything. I have however expressed, again, my amazement at your hate and blindness. And on Christmas Day no less.

Pitiful.

Again, I refer you to the house oversight committee for their decision to release their findings during Christmas. File your bad timing complaints with them.. I'm sorry that they were not being upfront and instead are trying to bury it during a holiday..

Also no one twisted your arm and forced you to read or reply. However I'm sure the other right wingers here on gfy will be proud of you for taking g the time and attempting to shift the topic away from wasteful spending of tax dollars by yet another Republican led which hunt, to blame of evil liberals bad timing of posting.

The editorial section is one of the best sections of the newspaper to me. I enjoy reading the opinions of educated people.

But it's not the news. It's just an opinion on a news story. (a good and educated opinion...but still, an opinion)

As I said in my first reply...it has no more validity than Sean Hannity does on his show.

But of course, when I pointed out that it was an opinion piece on the editorial page...crockett immediately goes into his bat-shit crazy mode and says I'm "apologizing for Republicans".

And no matter what I say...that's what he believes with a religious (and scary) blind fervor.

Straight from the horse's mouth:

http://oversight.house.gov/wp-conten...IRS-Report.pdf
(page 7)

Quote:
"Findings
The Committee’s investigation has resulted in the following findings to date about the
Internal Revenue Service’s inappropriate treatment of tax-exempt applicants:

The Internal Revenue Service targeted conservative-oriented applicants for tax-
exempt status;

Unlike applications from conservative groups, the small batch of applications from
liberal-oriented groups received additional scrutiny for non-political reasons. Of the
applications that received additional scrutiny, only seven contained the word
“progress” or “progressive,” all of which were subsequently approved by the IRS,
while Tea Party groups were subjected to an unprecedented degree of review and
years-long delays.

Senior Internal Revenue Service officials covered up the misconduct and misled
Congress about the existence and nature of the targeting;

The Internal Revenue Service sought to rein in conservative-oriented non-profits as
early as 2010;

The Administration is using the targeting as pretext to support its proposed regulation
to limit political speech of conservative non-profits;

Mismanagement among the senior leadership of the Internal Revenue Service
contributed to the targeting;

The Internal Revenue Service and the Obama Administration knowingly and wrongly
blamed line-level employees for the misconduct;

Employees of the Internal Revenue Service inappropriately used non-official e-mail
to conduct official government business;

The Internal Revenue Service has compromised its traditional position as an
independent tax administrator;

The Obama Administration exhibited a lack of accountability for the IRS misconduct;

Lois Lerner’s refusal to testify hindered the Committee’s investigation;

The Internal Revenue Service obstructed the Committee’s investigation; and

The White House and congressional Democrats obstructed the Committee’s investigation. "

it's still early, I'm still half asleep, so maybe I'm mis-reading it or something, but doesn't that sound like there was indeed some misconduct?

It doesn't matter, Crockett needs to see wrong doing to fuel his need to hate something. God only knows who/what he would target if politicians weren't around.

It's amazing how far you will try to go to discredit something and avoid the truth. It doesn't matter who wrote a piece on it or what they said. At the end of the day the congressional committie could not find any links and could not "prove" their slanderous assertions that The Obama admin used the IRS to target tea party groups.

In fact the report found that not a single tea party group was denied their 501 status and in fact only one group had theirs remove, which was a progressive group that trained women for politics.

Yet hey you don't like the message, so you attack the messenger as if that somehow makes the truth go away. so once again its amazing Robbie, that you seem to convenci yourself that you are unbiased. You always fall for all the right wing shit then when it's proven wrong you try to argue you were right.l

You cheerleaded here on GFY about Obama using the IRS to target the tea party, you claimed he gave stand down orders for Benghazi and you told us all how Obamacare was going to destroy the health care industry..

You were wrong everytime yet you never admit it, you just argue nonsense trying to shift blame elsewhere. This is why I post this stuff, to watch you guys run circles around your lies.

There was no misconduct at all by the Obama admin which was the reason for this current investigation. In order to have an excuse for wasting tax payers money they drag some IRS people whom were just doing their jobs under the bus.

However you will notice no one is charged of anything and that list is just more blind assertions with nothing to back them up. The very fact that they released this on Christmas where they hoped no one would notice, speaks volumes.

Even in all that opening rethrotric, if any of it had substance they would be pushing it out for the public to see. Instead they released in on a holiday hoping no one would notice..

By the way, if you read the report it DOES show that some of the people in the IRS were indeed lying their asses off (Lois Lerner).

And further...I don't really consider the Congress keeping an eye on the IRS as "wasteful". It's actually part of what they are supposed to do (oversight).

What I considered wasteful by Congress was when they drag people like Martha Stewart in front of them and throw her in jail. Or when the do months long "investigations" of steroids in baseball.
Those are things that Congress has no business doing.

But back to this topic: Crockett, that is an opinion piece in the editorial section of the LA Times.

I'm glad Congress is keeping an eye on the IRS.
I wish that the Democrats in Congress had done the same thing with Bush over the Patriot Act and the wars he got us into. But they didn't have the balls.

You have to realize that Crockett didn't read the actual report. Nor did he care that Lois Lerner (who theoretically works for "the people") went in front of the representatives of "the people" and lied her ass off.

Nope, Crockett only cares about "team sports". And the Democrat Party is his team. They do no wrong. They are the greatest!

And of course Crockett is only going to get his information from an opinion piece instead of reading and understanding the actual report.

Nothing shocking there. Crockett is the perfect sheep for the Republicans and Democrats. He is exactly what they both want...the guy who blindly follows one of the 2 ruling parties and never questions his "team".

Pitiful...but very, very common. Lowest common denominator type thinking.

Robbie you can say anything you want, but it's your actions that tell the truth. Everything else you are just imagining in your fevered brain.

I see your actions based on what you say.. You claimed in the past that Obama, Hillary whom ever gave the imaginary stand down order in regards to Benghazi.. The only place that was ever fabricated was from the right wing talking heads. No soldiers no generals or anyone in command ever said that. It was purely a right wing fabrication and you parroted it here.

You did the same with this IRS ordeal and claimed many times that Obama admin used the IRS to target consertive groups. This was once again a fabrication by right wing talking heads that you parroted here on GFY.

The truth of the matter is the IRS targeted any group that appeared to be political by name. There just happened to be more groups with the name tea party than any other group. What they brush by is the fact that Tea Party was the big thing at that time and "progressive' was not a big term at that point. Meaning yes there were hundreds of groups with the name tea party and only a few with the name progressive.

It doesn't mean that other left leaning groups were not targeted just only a few with the name progress or progressive..because there were only a few to target. This is how people like you are fooled into thinking there was a scandle..l

You belived because there were 100s of groups with tea party in the name that there must also be 100s of groups with progressive in the name. This is how they played on ignorance to convnce people whom wanted to belive that there was a scandle.

I'm just amazed that you fall for this shit time and time again..

The Republican party continues to attack the Democrat party and does very well at making them look bad when the direct opposite is true. The embassy attack is the perfect example - An embassy was attacked, short of sending in a few thousand US Marines and invading another country which would have been too little and too late, and nothing was done wrong.

Same shit with the IRS crap. This is the IRS doing it's job - It investigates groups that have a history of violating tax laws. My wife runs a non profit and non profits in general tend to violate tax laws, and it takes a lot longer. This is what what the IRS does, nothing more.

During the recent election the Republican ads were talking about how Obama was failing with protecting us form Ebola and ISIS. Huh? ISIS doesn't have the ability to attack the US, and how many American citizens died from Ebola?

Meanwhile the US economy is humming along and unemployment continues to drop.

crockett, please quote me ever saying any of the things you wrote.

I NEVER said any of that. You imagine it by extrapolating what's in your mind.

The only thing I ever said about Benghazi is that Pres. Obama went on television (as did all of his people in his cabinet) and claimed over and over and over that it was caused by a Youtube video by a guy in California.
He was lying and he knew it.
I still say that. And the video footage is everywhere to prove that.

And as for the IRS thing...I commented on how the Lerner woman to this very day refuses to testify in front of Congress. And I said (correctly) that if Richard Nixon's administration had tried this kind of thing...the Democrat's in Congress (and the media) would have been all over them.
Something ain't right there.

The only one "parroting" stuff is YOU. I make up my own mind. Republicans are lying pieces of shit. So are Democrats.
But since I don't say Democrats are angels...you start attacking like a crazy man.

You need to step back and think about that a minute.

The DIFFERENCE was that the military wanted to go help the Embassy and were told NOT to. Then a lie was made up to go along with the Pres. narrative in the campaign that terrorism was on the run. It was complete fabercation by Fox New to help push the idea there was a scandle.

Do you not get that? To continue to keep posting up all the attacks that have ever happened against Americans has absolutely nothing to do with what is going on with this.
The stand down order was a complete fabercation by Fox News talking heads when they got some guy to come on a show and claim that it happened. The right wing polititions then ran with it and tred claim it as the truth even though it was not.

This is the actual first reported instance of a stand down order..it was an absolute complete fabercation by Fox News.

Quote:
Fox News has learned from sources who were on the ground in Benghazi that an urgent request from the CIA annex for military back-up during the attack on the U.S. consulate and subsequent attack several hours later on the annex itself was denied by the CIA chain of command — who also told the CIA operators twice to "stand down" rather than help the ambassador's team when shots were heard at approximately 9:40 p.m. in Benghazi on Sept. 11.

Former Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods was part of a small team who was at the CIA annex about a mile from the U.S. consulate where Ambassador Chris Stevens and his team came under attack. When he and others heard the shots fired, they informed their higher-ups at the annex to tell them what they were hearing and requested permission to go to the consulate and help out. They were told to "stand down," according to sources familiar with the exchange. Soon after, they were again told to "stand down."

You got me there. I heard an ex-CIA guy saying on CNN that they had received orders to stand down.

Maybe if there had been transparency from the administration instead of the President going on national television and claiming it was caused by a YouTube video then the whole thing could have been defused quickly.

I stand corrected Crockett, I am not perfect. I was hearing bad information on what passes for "news" channels in the U.S. and I took one guys OPINION on what happened and mistook it for fact.
Sound familiar?

Yep, I was dead wrong when I said that.

Not sure why that has anything to do with Republicans or Democrats.
The Pres. went on t.v. and lied about it so nobody had any idea what really happened.

That's the result when you have zero transparency and a lot of deception in govt.

That was another bs thing that was shown to be untrue. Obama was reporting on what the CIA had told him. The protest thing was information that Obama was given and that's what he also repeted.

Even all the Republican led investigations came to the conclusion that he didn't lie but spoke on the information that he had at that time, which later was found to not be true. Meaning he did not intentionally lie, he spoke based off the information he had at that time.

Call it the fog of war or whatever but even the republican investigations agreed he was not trying to mislead.

Almost all these scandals originate with Fox News. Every since they won their court case about being able to lie to viewers and twist the news to be what they want, they get guests on their shows to say what they want to report.

The right wing polititions then run with it giving the scandals the appearance of legitimacy and it all become a vicious circle where they feed off each other.

Then one by one they are proven to not be true but by then the shit has been beaten Into people's heads so they belive it anyway.

Hey, if you believe that the supposed most powerful man in the world really thought that for 2 solid weeks it was a YouTube video AND he chose to go on every show he could (including David Letterman) and repeat that AND even had the guy arrested who made the video...well, that must be Fox News' fault.

You don't question ANYTHING do you Crockett?
