Killed my Phantom Vision Battery

Urgh.

I haven't used my DJI Phantom Vision for a good few months. Last time I used it the battey was pretty low.
Decided I want to take it for a flight today and the damn battery won't charge. Seems you are not supposed to let the "smart battery" get too low or there won't be enough charge to get it going.

So now I guess I am selling the quad as not working, spending a fortune on a new battery or trying to get charge in another way like using a 9v battery and connecting the terminals. The problem is I don't know which is the positive and negative terminal.

Any electrical knowledgeable guys know how to check.

Just buy a battery.

I could post a circuit diagram of a charger that might bring it back to life, but based on your posts on this forum I very much doubt you have the intellect or requisite skill to build it.

I've been using the cheaper third party batteries with no issues.

Just get a new battery or 3rd party like above. I have no issues running them in my blade QX either

Yeah, you'll find it will work much better if you actually have the battery in it

Always store a LiPo at 50% capacity, in a refrigerator if possible. Always let them warm up to room temperature before charging them to 100% and using them.

NEVER let them drop to below 3.3 volts per cell.

Do this and your batteries will last a long time.

I've had a Quad copter for about 2 years now (so much fun!) and will be buying the new DJI this spring. Always buy extra batteries and at least one extra charger too. They're expensive sure but having 4-5 batteries will provide you with a good hour of flying time.

BTW If you're reading this and thinking about getting one of these, don't wait too long. I predict that some new regulations will be handed down that prevent these toys from flying too high. The DJI always has software "no fly" zones that prevent it from flying into areas that are restricted. These were added voluntarily by the makers but soon I bet, it will become law before they can be sold here, or, flyers will require licenses.

They did it on my Blade QX as well. However you need to update the firmware in order to have the new flight ceiling enabled. Needless to say I keep a copy of the old firmware on a USB
