Long live the woman cave! Advice on a heat source...

I am having myself a woman cave finished outside of my house over this weekend.

I have to buy a heat source for the space. It's 10 X 20 foot shed. Putting insulation, drywall and wood floor today. Electric is already ran.

So what will be the best heat source? I'm looking at electric fireplaces that stand, and that mount on the wall. Would a wood stove be better? A pellet stove? Or go with the electric fireplace type thing and which one, mounted or floor??

Personally I'd rather have the wood stove, but I don't know how messy they are and if it will hardcore dry out the air. I'll be working out there, and probably sleeping out there sometimes. Advice is appreciated.

Happy Saturday!

I'd go with a small natural gas heater (or propane). Easy to regulate...and you wouldn't have to worry about messy firewood.

Years ago when I used to ice fish - we had a wood stove in the hut. Most of my buddies had propane heaters. The wood stove was a chore to maintain all the time.

wood is too expensive... I would go with electric ($60) and humidity control

Amazon.com: space heaters

yeah the only thing about propane is getting the tank refiled BUT power outages won't affect you with propane for sure...

In man caves the only heat source you need, is a women in heat. Wouldn't that suffice in your cave too?

So the man in your life is moving you outside to a shed for 5-6 days a month. I have a new hero.

So where does the propane go? Does it store outside of the shed? Is it just like what goes under the grill?

I think he's actually a little cranky about being stuck in the house with the kids. He wont help at all, and I've had to hire workers to come do it! And they are LATE!!

I dont know if the windows are big enough to hold a unit, but that thing is badass. I planned on getting one of those floor air conditioners in the summer. I like the ambiance of a fireplace and should help keep me in the mood on those cold phone bone nights!

if you have a friends are free to fart policy, I'd stay away from open flames.

Nothing is hotter than when a girl rips off a big fart then sexily looks at you and says "It's talking to you Daddy"

That actually looks not so bad. And it dehumidifies too! It seems hard to install though, ya think?

You guys are smart thinking two in one, it hadn't even crossed my mind. I figured when summer comes I'll deal with that when the time comes - but look how smart you guys are!

I think propane is not the way for me. Although I do get a propane delivery every 1.5 months or so, it wouldn't be hard to get - I just hate having an ugly tank outside of my pretty shed.

It's 2015 so I'd definitely go green and choose a natural heat source...
