Canadians, want $20 for nothing?

http://themoneyismine.ca

Not sure what all countries are eligible, looks like just Canada, but it's basically a class action settlement for dram price fixing that took place a few decades ago. I'm sure it will probably take a year or more to get your $20, but i guess that's ok for just filling out a form.

do you think people will remember that they bough 13 years ago

You (individuals, businesses and governmental entities) can get money from the settlements if you bought DRAM or electronic devices containing DRAM between April 1, 1999 and June 30, 2002.

You dont need to remember unless you are trying to get a larger amount than $20 from the settlement.

Sounds like the settlement might be smaller depending on how many apply. But it took me longer to make this thread than it did to fill out the form.

Of course. We bought about 30 computers between 2000 and 2002 and we kept all of the invoices too. We already filed for this.

Did they give you an estimate on how much you would get back, or did you just file for the $20?

I will do that once back home.

I had a notice a year ago about a class action against Canada Post ( fuel surcharge ). I filled my claim and payment instructions ( after verifying the legitimacy ) ; I expected to get a few bucks ; six months later, $300.00+ was deposited in my account .

They never asked for volume, client number, etc ...

So for this thing , it is worth doing it !
