I'm having problems with kickstarter mostly because they're just another one of these sites where their business approach is tells you to "fill out the webform and then go away until it's time to pay"

So I'm looking for alternatives that's artist friendly. Can anyone recommend a site where they actually take the time to read their emails? (I know a telephone number is too much to hope for)

indiegogo I believe started out as a crowdfunding site primarily for the arts. Film i think.

Kickstarter really has it goin' on - it's the 800 lb gorilla in the space. They have made some changes recently - much more service friendly. Give 'em another try or hit me at ebrown [at] capitalizedfunding.com . I'm a crowdfunding pro.
