Watched Nightcrawler / No spoilers

I had no idea what to expect but Jake Gyllenhaal is an amazing actor and people who rated said it was worth the price to watch his performance. Bill Paxton is also in it and gives a stellar performance as always as well.

These days the way that they cut the trailer for thrillers I find that they give away too much of the plot and twists and it ruins the movie so I don't watch them.

Little did I know that it was going to be like a combination of classes of business 101 and entrepreneurism rolled into a thriller themed movie.

The whole thing was great and just seeing his character's intense laser like focus on reaching his goal. The way he comes up with the idea...analyzes the market...competition...adapts and innovates...even the way he "uses" his employees and ultimately dominates his chosen field.

The movie was actually eye-opening when you think that there are surly people in every industry who are just like him (perhaps not to that degree but you get it)!

If you have not seen it I HIGHLY recommend it for these reasons alone.

just shows that drive can be more important than talent in some cases.

fully agree, great movie. Among the best 'newer' movies i've seen in years.
