Business What makes/made you pick an affiliate program over another?

What makes/made you pick an affiliate program over another?

I'm looking to start an affiliate program to push a few of my mainstream compagnies.

I'm planning to use the mainstream version of nats (offerit).

I have a few features in mind :
    - No minimum payout
    - Custom creatives avaliable
    - Monthly payouts via paypal

What other features are important to push?

*high PPS (i mean reasonable and not like 350 pps or so with shaving left and right)
      *no shaving

      edit:

      * support 24x7 , if they are accepting affiliates from all over the world , then they should provide support 24x7.
i dont care if its even on chat/icq/skype. bu there should be someone in office even on holidays , bcoz some of us are always working, even on holidays / riots/tsunami / earthquake ,
some one who have control/access , not like ill forward this to him/her and you will get reply.

If it's a pay site? They give me access to their members area and let me cut the scenes myself for previews. No one knows my surfers like I do so I don't settle for generic clips that every other affiliate site has for their surfers.

Nicky from EuroRevenue was great when I used to promote his sites before I sold off most of my sites.. He would give me access and let me do my thing. It converted well and we did good business together.

Same with the guys at old Digital Playground before Manwin took over. Nothing bad to say about the new guys as I never dealt with them. Just remembered the old DP were great.

Other things is obvious, No Shaving, prompt payments, and PayPal payments are great.

Normally just test them out, I go for rebills and 50+%, if sales don't start coming in I don't look back, just move on. I tend to go for something which is bit different than the majority of sponsors, so as it has less competition

Everyone knows that the most important things are (in this order):

                  (1) Conversions

                  (2) Conversions

                  (3) Conversions

A juicy 90% REVSHARE FOR LIFE means jack shit if the product doesn't convert.

Ok let me clarify. If the product is great (the best in the industry), what else are you looking for ?

This is for a mainstream affiliate program that will include a few different products that I built over the years. Everyone of them is proven and converts above and beyond industry standard.

This is for a non adult affiliate program, and the service is #1 in it's industry.
