Politics: Media Failed Again In Their Anti-Trump Attempts

Right after that second debate...EVERY news channel was touting Carly Fiorina.
The pundits and "reporters" all said she won the debate and now she was going to move up in the polls and Trump was pretty much finished (again).

Watching CNN last evening. Anderson Cooper reluctantly revealing the latest polling numbers:
Trump 26%
Carson 21%
Fiorina.... 7% LOL!!!!

Of course now that they have these latest polling numbers and their attempt to paint a picture that Trump was finished and Fiorina was going to be the new front runner have failed miserably...Now they have started this weeks newest attempt to take down Trump.

Cooper segued right from announcing the latest poll results to doing a "panel" to discuss Trump dropping out of the race! Unbelievable.

Apparently a reporter asked him if he would ever consider dropping out. And Trump replied of course. He said if he fell off the charts in the polls he would drop out and return to running his business.
In other words what he has already told other candidates who are polling in single digits that they should do.
Makes perfect sense.

But Anderson Cooper and his panel of "experts" took that and changed it into a "foreshadowing" of Trump's departure from the race.

This shit is so stupid and transparent.

The media is acting like Trump is somehow "bad" because he would actually have the common sense to not waste time and money on a losing proposition. And that guys like Lindsey Graham with less than 1% in the polls are "good".

I've said it since the beginning...Trump isn't my guy. I'm not a believer in a "Wall" across Mexico at all. And I'm definitely against spending even more money on our bloated and useless military. I do agree with him on his ideas for the economy.

But it still bothers me immensely to watch the news channels try to shape the election instead of simply reporting it.
And it has been a nice change to watch them failing miserably this time with Trump and grasping at any straws to try and exert their "power" over people.

I'm hopeful that this time it won't be what the power brokers in Washington D.C. and their news media lapdogs decide.

If they had their way...it was going to be Bush vs. Clinton. That was what was SUPPOSED to happen.
And they are doing everything they can to try and make it come true.

Donald Trump would be richer if he'd have invested in index funds srouce: Donald Trump Would Be Richer If He Had Invested in Index Funds - Fortune

if he is the best candidate, then...LOL

Funny how people who never made any real money in their lives (like the writers of those articles) think they know Trump's business better than Trump does.

Meanwhile the Republicans and Democrats that have run our country have run up almost 20 TRILLION dollars in debt!
Why aren't these clever "reporters" talking about that?

In the end Trump comes out with huge profits.
Our govt. is in such debt that it may never be able to paid off.

The articles you linked to are great examples of the media trying to shape the election and tell people who they should and shouldn't vote for.

That's because immediately after the debate, people liked how Fiorina stood up for herself. But then people started investigating the things she said, and realized she straight up lied about dead fetus videos.

that 1st article (and others like it) cite bankruptcy.com as their source for Trump being the biggest filer, but a search at that site for Trump comes up empty. and pointing to Trump's bankruptcies as some sort of negative entirely misses the essence of what success is in America.

And who really gives a shit if Trump could be richer if he invested in index funds or wtfever? he's a real estate guy. he's not an investor guy. he'd be richer if was Czar of Russia too, wtf.

as for our debt, a robust economy can easily gobble that up in a ~decade.

as for the media going after Trump, it's funny actually. i'd bet a lot of Trump's supporters are just as fed up with the media as they are politics/government.

I'm not even sure that "people" were really saying that.

It was more like the talking heads on the news were saying that. But the polls of the people never reflected that at all.

That's one of the things that is amazing to me.

A guy who has never and will never even be in the same league as Trump...trying to tell Trump that he could have made more money if he had done it a different way.

WTF? If this guy is so smart, then why isn't HE rich?

Reminds me of that old saying about teachers:

Remember kids....

MEXICANS ARE RAPISTS.

So be sure to vote for Trump in 2016. He's gonna build a wall to keep the rapists out!

the writer of the article never inherited 200million from his father and never got his first big business connections from his father...

The writer of the article is no "trump" lets face it, he just knows how to write articles, this is a fair argument...

but with all the money turmp had going for him and all his fathers connections and keeping in mind that casinos are really really profitable ect...4 bankruptcies makes you wonder...

ok he did not blow it all like belizerian, kudos to trump for not being like than...but still you have to wonder...if he is the best candidate america can offer then...LOL

I am just stunned here. Do you really mean to tell me that the majority of the Republican party really wants Trump to be President? Anyone who stands up in front of an audience and calls an entire race of peoples "rapists" cannot be president.

Honestly, what is Trump's track record? He's invested millions of his daddy's money into real estate in one of the most expensive real estate markets in the world and built some buildings? That's hardly impressive. How many of those buildings have failed? How many times has this man been in bankruptcy? What has he ever accomplished on the national level?

Trump says things and believes they are true. "The military loves me". No, they don't. He didn't serve. He has no connection to the military. None, zero, zilch. "I'm going to build a wall to keep the Mexicans out". Sure. The current wall we have is completely ineffective and will cost seven hundred dollars to expand the entire distance, and will still be completely ineffective. Who is going to pay for this? Mexico isn't going to pay anything.

I loved his comments about Obama "rolling out the red carpet for China with a state dinner". He said he wouldn't have state dinners or roll out the red carpet for countries like China and Russia. That's fucking brilliant - Trump will single handily destroy ALL foreign relations.

How can anyone seriously vote for this man? "I'm going to make American great again". He's going to reduce the deficit by reducing our taxes. Do the math; It's not going to work.

I hope he wins. I really do. It will be hilarious to watch him go down in flames.

Here's what I can see
Under Obama when he took office, the population of the US was 306.8 million with the workforce participation rate at 65.7% which means we had a workforce of 201.5 million people.
Presently the population of the US is 321 million with a workforce rate at 62.6 % ( a 38 year low) which means we have a workforce of 200.9 million people.
So the present administration took office in the middle of a bad recession that was over 5 months after he took office, 600,000 less people are working now and we have 14.2 million more people.
I'm sorry but this shit is not working very well. We need a change, not the change that Obama delivered on and not someone with the same ideas for a better America. We need someone that going to rattle the cages.
And before someone comments on me always hating anything Obama has done, I'm not, I'm arguing on something he hasn't done! Jobs! Also I might add, the median wages according to a recent census has gone down since he took office and the murder rate in major cities has gone up. Food stamp usage has gone up and the homeless numbers have grown.
I'm not entirely behind Trump, but at least he's addressing problems that are real and getting the message out about he will fix them, maybe not with all the details people want, but it's a start.

Has Trump had more bankruptcies or mail order brides? Did he list his hair pieces as assets in his bankruptcies? These are the questions the media needs to be asking.

Robbie, the author of the index fund article you were referring to in the above reply, Claire Groden, is actually a woman, not a "guy", and she's still in her 20's with an impressive resume that includes internships at NPR, Time, and the Wall St. Journal. From some of your previous posts I've gotten the impression you have a rather old-fashioned view of women and their place in the world, so I wanted to point this out to you.

Also, you state that s(he) has never been "in the same league" as Trump, and never will be, which implies that journalists should only write about people who are their financial (and social, etc.?) equals. This, of course, is nonsense.

Marcop this isn't about me. So keep your opinions about me out of it. And I don't care if it's a man or woman who wrote that piece. They do not have the skills, experience, or real world knowledge that Trump has in business.
Talk is cheap. Actually making money is a completely different animal.

And I wasn't referring to "writing" about Trump. I was very clearly referring to the armchair quarterbacking written about how Trump "could" have made more money if he had only followed the brilliant advice of the writer.

I will say this - for the indeps, this is the most exciting year you repubs have had. And I love you guys saying he inherited from his dad like its a bad thing - Daddy's boys are all you repubs ever put up anymore!

Romney's dad was a rich governor;

Mccain's dad was secretary of the damn navy;

Dummy? Well I think you know who his father was, although senior had some sense, so you wouldn't be wrong for being skeptical.

The last self made guy you put up was Bob Dole 20 fuckin years ago, by all accounts a decent guy who got rightfully crushed by Clinton.

At least the two repub front runners aren't cowards.

His business is the most bankrupt going major company in the last 30 years, he started with 200mil from his father and his fathers political connections and opened caisnos that, literally, take money from people who go inside...

its not like one has to be a billionaire to understand...trump played business on easy mode and lost 4 times...big business is not mysterious quantum physics...

200 mil. Throw in time value of money calculation (I can see Cuckold Robbie and Dumbfuckingzilla googling that term) and you have very good chunk of money to start "off the bottom".

He's no addressing any problems. He's saying "I'll build a wall". We already have a wall, it's completely ineffective, and in order to finish it we would need to spend hundreds of billions of dollars - and still be ineffective. Trumps plan is to spend hundreds of billions on a wall that will not change anything.

Trump say "I'm going to make our military strong again". Is our military not strong enough already? For those not paying attention, in the past fifteen years we've invaded two countries and very quickly removed their governments. We don't need to "make our military strong again"; Our military is the most powerful in the world. And the military doesn't love Trump; He did everything he could to not serve in our military.

Trump says he is gong to lower our taxes and reduce the deficit. Seems he doesn't understand math. If he reduces the amount of money the government takes in, the deficit goes up.

Trump is full of ideas but has no idea what he is doing.

This "labor participation" thing is a Republican standard line. They seem to believe that the only reason unemployment is down is because there is less people working. The labor participation rate has nothing to do with the unemployment rate; It's because of national demographics - the baby boomers are retiring.

No, that's not what he did. He is a real estate tycoon. The casinos were just a small part of his portfolio. And in case you somehow didn't notice...Atlantic City is dying. Not just Trump's casino there.

And it doesn't really matter what you think you know. What matters is that Trump is not the guy you want to vote for. And that's cool.

But what is NOT cool is the media trying to tilt the election. The Republican Party is scared to death of Trump because they can't control him like a puppet. And the media is doing their bidding. It's fucked up.

Actually the workforce participation rate among those over 55 has gone up and has been going up since about 2002. in 2002 it was around 30%, now it's around 40%

Actually, the wall does slow them down in the areas they have been put up. As far as deporting them, it's easy, enforce the law, get rid of sanctuary cities and cut off medicare and food stamps for illegal aliens. They will leave very quick if they can't make any money here. We tried that in California with Prop 187, but a judge struck it down.
As far as the military, Military times says that the Military gives Obama a 15% approval rating. Trumps approval ratings among vets is pretty high.
I've looked at what Trump wants to do and read the reports. They all agree it will grow the economy and they all don't know if a couple things he proposes will work. Anything is better than what we have been doing.

Guys, there's no need to argue whether you like Trump or dislike him.

That isn't the point.

The press is once again trying to shape whom we can and can't vote for. They have tried everything that they can think of to run Trump out of the race before Republican's can even have a chance to vote for the guy in the primary. They are doing the bidding of the 2 ruling party's.
They did the same thing in the last election as well.

What they need to do is to start reporting the news, and stop trying to create situations that cause the "news".
It's a disgrace and it's starting to backfire on them big time.

All of their so-called "experts" have been wrong about what Trump was going to do since the beginning.

The answer would be a comment on what I posted that you had to throw out insults. That's all you do is insult because that's all your sad life has.

Why so hateful, I have my own sites and have worked in several companies since I started in this industry in 2002. I'm just finishing up building a dating site for a client that was referred to me from a other member here on GFY

So answer to what you have a problem with what I posted with an insult, or are you too afraid of looking like little more than a mindless troll?

Yep, confirmed once again. A complete moron. Some illegals = entire race of people.
I have two college degrees so that's enough about my IQ.....

Here is exactly what Trump said:

?When Mexico sends its people, they?re not sending their best. They?re not sending you. They?re not sending you. They?re sending people that have lots of problems, and they?re bringing those problems with us. They?re bringing drugs. They?re bringing crime. They?re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.?

He said "They're rapists". He called Mexicans criminals and rapists. There is just no walking that statement back, period.
