Powerpoint & The Cloud
Urgh.
So I made a poster using Powerpoint or Publisher or something. I uploaded it to Dropbox wanting to use it on another computer in another location. I go to open it and it looks shit. All the fonts are wrong. Why and is there anything I can do about this? |

Do you not have the fonts you used installed on the new computer?
Do you have different versions of PP or Publisher on those two computers? What you can do is not to save it on computer 2 and go back to computer 1.

Yeah but I thought the whole idea of the cloud was to be able to access any document anywhere. This should also include all formatting.
The other PC isn't mine. It runs Windows 8 and the same software but I couldn't tell you if it's the same version. I used 1 custom font downloaded from a free font place and the other fonts were preinstalled in the software. None of them were the same though. |
