Are overlays ok practice for paysite?
Has anyone with a pay site integrated the use of an overlay to see if it had any effect on sales/customer engagement? A lot of company websites use overlays, but I haven't seen it on any adult pay sites yet.
If you know of any pay sites that use an overlay, what are they? |

We use jquery overlays js-HTML.
They are only as effective as your offer is Conversions have varied by the message. Best bet is to A<=>B or multiple message test them to see what is the most effective. 90% to 99% just get closed -- include an [x] on the overlay as not to alienate customers. |

Would they be better as an alternate to popups/unders?
 And why would a paysite use them?.. I really don't like upselling in members areas, just sayin'..
