Surly, there are minority voices in Putin's government ...

Come on, we both know exactly what the war on Syria is about, the same CIA hitjob which we saw happen to Libya, put your loyalties aside for now and focus on the reality of the situation. Russia have been invited in to help Syria deal with terrorists who are being illegally funded by the US and Co, Putin has generously obliged. There is no doubt who is doing the right thing and who is doing the wrong thing, I understand you have loyalties, but people are getting killed, we need people like you to be speaking out against your leaders or else these atrocities will keep happening time and time again.

I've mentioned this before. The United States has a habit of saying "We don't like you, so we are going to remove you". This hasn't worked too well in the past - we just replace one crappy leader with another crappy leader, spending billions and costing American lives in the process. What have we gained from this? Zero. The Middle East is still as unsable as it's been since the 1960s.

Join with Russia, fight ISIS, and allow Assad to remain in power.

Time and time again we see politicians and commentators tell us the problem was not having a plan for after the invasion.

There is no after plan when you open Pandora's Box. Or set loose a revine full of zombies, or a football field of venomous rats.

That's not an opinion, it's a proven successful formula.
