Canadian Liberal supporters...inside

Just wondering what you retards who voted for Trudeau now think of Finance Minister Morneau's announcement of the federal deficit ceiling going to $25billion instead of the $10billion they promised during the election.

lol, Government has little control over the economy and I would bet it is all Harper's fault as it went up during his terror of pussification.

Harper government left ?bare cupboard? for Liberals, new Treasury Board president says | National Post

Conservatives based their $1.4-billion, 2015-16 surplus projection â?? from Aprilâ??s federal budget â?? on one-time asset sales and optimistic growth forecasts.

â??Growth has slowed since then â?? thereâ??s about a one-point (difference) from the growth numbers that were projected at that time and what is actually materializing,â? he said of the spring budget.

â??Itâ??s not exactly a surprise to us that the Harper government didnâ??t leave a lot of fiscal capacity.â?

The dollar has dropped 30%+

Maybe that has some effect on our budget, since we pay debts and interest in USD and whatnot..

NO ONE Is going to be investing in Canada. The commodity based economy is fucked now. Plus you have a socialist leaning population where no one in their right mind is going to invest heavy in a new business or existing ones.

All these socialist idiots care about is scoring brownie points and feeling good. Well guess what no one feels good when your standard of living is cut in half.

Wait another 10 years until the baby boomers really put a dent into the system.

Have fun singing kommbahya with your refugees and climate plan idiots.

Of course they do. They control tax rates. Regulations. Societies debt burden through lending from the central bank. Energy royalties. Import duties. Health care. On and on. If you think government policy has little control over an economy you're fooling yourself.

They ran on a platform of spending. They have a great track record on doing that. Just look at the mess Ontario is in. After the auditor general report came out Wynne and McGuinty should be in jail.

why does it matter who people voted for? We would be in the same situation we are in now and you would be emotional and upset about everything anyway. The only difference is you have attached a team to root for.

Canada's Federal Debt on 1870/01/01
$320,548.00

Canada's Federal Debt today
$615,272,615,719.18

I wouldn't say "winding down", more like crashing and burning. Canada's debt increased by $23,828 the time it took me to write this response. Yeah, socialism, or social democracy as you call it, doesn't work.

Canadians don't vote a party into power, they vote parties out of power, which is why elections are being won by landslides. This is especially true in Quebec.

Soon the US will raise rates, Canada will lower theirs, and the USD will continue to rise. If oil dips even further so will the dollar.

All I can say is, I'm lovin' it!

If you can't see the difference between Conservative fiscal finance management and what the Liberals do - there's no point in further discussion.

The libtards will spend this country right into a debt so deep my great-grandkids will still be cursing us for it.

I was telling some friends the other day: If you're Canadian, there is no better time in history to get into adult. Or any export business actually. It's 2004 all over again in Canada.

So misleading these headlines are. Now some people will think Canada's national debt is $25 billion. They always fail to specifically spell it out that that's the current government's spending plan for the next fiscal YEAR.

Our actual total national debt is hovering at just over 615 billion, and rising by an estimated 11 million per day, a daily figure which this new spending plan will no doubt increase.
