So, the more plausible explanations so far are

1...Dust on the lens...not likely because of the shape.
2. Digital screwup.........
3. Some sort of marker they use for measuring

If that (I am not even sure if I correctly understand what are you talking about - this is how much non conspirational it is) can be cause for conspiracy ideas...

There is the second white one towards the right as well

Nothing conspiratorial about it. Just an odd shape in a picture from mars. I noticed the shiny piece also...probably some shiny rock or something similar.
