What the hell is going on with HOSTNINE????

If you check my post history here, you will come to conclude, that I'm not what you would call a frequent visitor, and definitely not one to start a negative thread specifically aimed at a business or a person. But today this all changed. Today I experienced something that blew my mind out of proportion, and would love to get an answer to the following question...

WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO HOSTNINE?
For more than 3 years I have 2 accounts with HostNine.com, and considered them to be the absolute best hosting company I came across so far. Always online, fast, friendly, reliable and with a 24 hour support service that would make any webmaster ejaculate spontaneously.

So how is it possible that a company can go from the absolute top to the absolute bottom, deep down below the ones far below the rest. I mean, "create a new ticket, and get an answer one year later, and still not resolve nothing at all", far down, deep down below.....I just can't believe it. There must have been a major change in management, or something.

This started slowly about 1,5 years ago. It's now so bad, I even have a PayPal Claim going against HostNine, which they can't seem to find. I subscribe for monthly payments, but have to also make manual payments every month, in order to prevent suspension, because all monthly payments are due long before (14th) the subscription makes the payment (25th). New policy dictates that one day late, account suspended.

I have been dealing with a VAT issue for more than 1,5 years now. This issue has been going from solved, to unsolved more than 6 times in the past year. First they refund all the VAT they charged for 7 months, apologize for any inconvenience, and start charging VAT the next month all over again. last month this issue was addressed, and resolved. This month, guess what, there is the VAT again. Remember, create new ticket takes at least a year, so live chat is the best option here. After all the refunding, and emails from billing and just about every other department apologizing, chat support now has the balls to start this issue all the way from the beginning again. "Sorry sir, but company policy states, you have to pay VAT". NO IT DOES NOT, BECAUSE I AM A EU MERCHANT WITH A VALID VAT NUMBER....WAKE UP......Just because you are an American company with a VAT number, this does not make you an expert on EU tax laws....

So PLEASE if any of you have some cash laying around, PLEASE buy this company, and restore it to the way it was back in 2014....Switching host for two major websites, is just not something I have the stomach for at this point....

FUCK...there it is...I said it.

Doesn't sound like they run their WHMCS billing platform correctly. Lots of other options out there. (Cough)

Can't remember the exact date, but they were purchased by EIG a few years back, which is the worst possible thing that can happen to any hosting company...

You are absolutely right. Just found it on Wiki. Endurance International Group. Here you can see the list of all the hosting companies they have acquired, including HostNine. That explains everything. Thanks Profit.
