wordpress woocommerce SEO question, shortening URL by eliminating subfolders
I am launching an ecommerce website using wordpress & woocommerce and currently products are displayed at domain.com/product/cool-product, services as domain.com/services/cool-service, images at domain.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/cool-image.jpg
Would I be crazy to want to shorten these urls to eliminate the subfolders with the exemption of images? For example: domain.com/cool-product domain.com/cool-service domain.com/images/cool-image.jpg Does anyone know if this would be a pro, con, or not matter for SEO purposes? |

If I were starting with a new site then maybe I might do this but only if I had an in-house developer with absolutely nothing to do. Rather put his/her energy into creating a free theme or a WP plugin and create a profile on wordpress.org, sourceforge etc. Playing around with these URLs would be rock bottom on my list along with tidying up my garage
