The Federal Government gives a tax credit whereby all production is 100% deductible up to $15/20 Million.

* 100% of the motion picture costs are deductible in the same year of investment.
* 75% of the motion picture must be shot in the US to qualify.
* There is no minimum film production budget cost.
* TV pilots, TV episodes (up to 44), short films, music videos and feature films all qualify.
* Can be applied to active income or passive income.
* Investors can be either individuals or businesses.
* Benefits are retroactive.
* There is no expectation for film distribution or film completion.
* Schedule K-1s are issued to investors so they can take advantage.

However, the Federal Government clearly excluded the adult industry from taking advantage of these benefits:

(C) Exception
A production is not described in this paragraph if records are required under section 2257 of title 18, United States Code, to be maintained with respect to any performer in such production.

If you're a non-adult indie film maker, you'll probably pay next to nothing in Federal taxes.

Here you go: 26 U.S. Code § 181 - Treatment of certain qualified film and television productions

I doubt there is anywhere in the world where you won't be (at least somewhat) discriminated against for trying to open a bank account for an adult company.

that's why charlie sheen's efforts to create an adult industry safe zone at his mansions should be applauded by the industry.

My experience is that ING has no problems, but ABN Amro and Rabobank has, when you aren't big enough.

Gmail routinely places messages from adult companies in Spam. Including those that I am having a conversation with.

Google penalties.

I know they apply in mainstream as well, but I always felt they disproportinately targeted paid adult, with the intent of changing the web landscape so that media could dominate.

The banks are a bitch:

(1) Commercial real estate landlord in porn valley had to break the lease for all the porn companies in his development and asked them to move. The bank will not refinance his property because he is leasing to porn companies.

(2) Porn company was rejected for equipment financing (computers) because the address provided on the application is the same for a porn business at the location.

most small social networks today don't allow adult if you are posting commercial sites specially.
a lot of hosting companies against adult.
most sites owners and admins hate to see porn content on their sites.
some online users report your content .

Well some years ago, many adult sites had merchant account in ING then at some random point, ING kicked them all out (some was big, I tghink livejasmin there too?) and processor had to move bank wires of everyone out to ABN. Did not tried to ask loans there
