Obama just made Republicans in Congress looks like dumbfucks

After they announce they will not meet to confirm a new SCOTUS,it turns out Obama was vetting a Republican Governor for the seat..

White House is vetting GOP Gov. Brian Sandoval for SCOTUS seat - CBS News

LO fucking L...

Now they will look like jackasses if they decide to confirm him and even bigger jackasses if they don't.

That's a speculative story. Nevertheless, I predict the Republicans doomed themselves by stalling this for over a year. That's not gonna fly with John q. Public at the voting booths, at least for Senate races and such. Trump could win still.

The Republican party continues to back itself into corners where they loose no matter what. Their opposition to Obamacare is a perfect example. They almost got Obamacare struck down, and the end result would have been.... Millions of people suddenly without healthcare. Either way they came out looking bad - they either failed to destroy Obamacare or cause millions to loose healthcare. It's a loose / loose situation no matter.

This new Supreme Court Justice issue is another example. Americans are upset that our government - mostly Congress - isn't doing their job. Exactly what we need during an election is a Republican Congress intentionally delaying the Supreme Court Justice vote. This will encourage people to vote Democratic, which means they loose the White House for a third time... Which means we'll have a Democratic president picking the next Supreme Court Justice anyhow.

We have Trump on video saying "delay, delay, delay". Imagine that playing over and over during the election while Congress is doing exactly that. #winning.

Well they haven't stalled it for a year "yet" but it seems that is their objective. These morons have polarized their bases to get votes and now it's so bad they can't dare do their fucking jobs with out getting voted out the next election for making agreements with democrats.

Anyone with half a brain knows you have to give a Lil to get something. However the Republican base doesn't seem to get it.

Working John Q. Public will see 10 months of click bait talking about people paid to do a job they are refusing to do and that will not sit well. I know congress on both sides generally don't do their jobs, however this will stand out and be much harder to digest. It will spot light the issue on one side of the aisle.

Heads up. I'm very sure John q. Public is sick and tired of political roadblocking of the system as typical.

The republicans stand for nothing but corruption, opposition, climate denying, and meddling in womans vaginas. They do not present solutions only roadblocks.

This is why their party is falling apart and Trump is their new standard bearer.

A clown leading the criminals, your GOP.

Everything I have heard about Obama "vetting" Sandoval is that it's pure POLITICS. He is fucking with the Republicans as crockett said in his thread title.

He has ZERO intention of nominating a sitting Republican Governor EVER.

This was done to simply stir up shit and gain political points.
And of course get fanboys like crockett's pantys wet.

Of course Harry Reid did. He has been the "Dick Cheney" of Obama's presidency in my opinion.
Remember when Obama swept into the White House and was going to "fix" Washington and be the most transparent administration in history?

It was Harry Reid who sat him down and said: "Look kid, THIS is the way we do things here"

Reid is the worst of the worst of Washington career bureaucrat scum. And that means he knows every little political trick.

As I said...Pres. Obama will NEVER pick a Republican Gov. to be Supreme Court Justice. Why would he?
He wants...no NEEDS to get a Justice in there who passes the abortion "litmus test".

This is a smart political move by him (orchestrated with Reid) to fuck with the Republicans.

In case you didn't know it (because you don't live here)...Reid HATES Sandoval.
Sandoval defeated Reid's son Rory in the gubernatorial election to become governor in the first place.
And you better believe in the next governors race, Sandoval's opponents will be running attack ads that depict him as an Obama crony because of this.

It's a win/win for Reid.

Chuck Hagel is a republican was nominated by Obama and he's a republican isn't he?

Regardless, I hope Obama nominates a a super liberal tree-hugging pot-smoking lesbian democrat, just to help balance things out a little.

Good luck!

Most likely no.... But the American public will care about Congress not doing it's job yet again.

People are fed up with Congress, fed up with Congress do anything but their jobs. They've spent more time investigating Benghazi than 9/11 or Kennedy. Instead of fixing our healthcare issues, they are trying to take away healthcare from millions. When Congress doens't like something, they can't "stall" or "delay delay delay". This is not the way to run a country.

The vast majority of Americans do not care who is on the Supreme Court. But if you Congress intentionally doing nothing it's going to look bad for the Republican party during an election.

Unless your constituents voted you in to stop the Democrat President's agenda.

That's the whole point you are missing. Republican politicians ran their campaigns based on STOPPING what Obama is doing.
Then they basically rolled over on every fight and didn't do anything.

Republican voters are pissed about that.

That's why the real political pressure is for them to stand up and DO THEIR JOB...which is to do what they promised when elected.

I don't agree that they should hold up a Supreme Court nomination. But I do have enough clarity of thought to realize that they are doing the will of the people who elected them.

First, Sandoval is pro-choice.

Second, I do live here and have never heard that Reid HATES Sandoval. They seem to work together often for the benefit of the state (immigration reform, Tesla's factory, clean energy and Yucca Mountain all come to mind). Reid even recommended him to Bush for a seat on a federal district court. It was also a clever way of removing him from possibly running against him for the Senate but still an endorsement.

Third, It wasn't just Reid that recommended Sandoval to the White House. It was also the other Republican Senator Dean Heller.

But carry on.....

Why so rude? I was just asking you a question. While not a judge, Hagel was the Secretary of Defence and according to the US Department of Deense at Chuck Hagel > U.S. DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE > Biography View was still a really important, high profile job that Obama could have picked a democrat for, but chose a republican for anyway.

What makes you so angry?

Why not? It's Obamas duty to do it, and its in the constitution. McDonnell wants to block Obama from doing it the way he tries to block him on everything else, and republicans are mostly in the way as your post here suggests. Why are you against that, but "Ok" with Obama being blocked by nominating a new judge? (Don't get mad, just asking again).

Peace.

You can't talk logic to Robbie, because he can't see past his hate for Obama. This means no matter what he will find a reason to complain about or to blame Obama.

I mean hell I know I blame Republicans a lot, but a lot of that is just trolling guys like Robbie because it's useless to try to talk sense to them.

I mean hell I've said on more than one occasion that I've agreed with something this random Republican said or did. Hell I'd even vote for Rand Paul overy Hillary if those were the choices.

I've even said I agree with certain things Trump has said, but doesn't mean I support him.

Meanwhile you will pretty much never see any of the GFY conservabros saying a Democrat did something right, muchless Obama or Hillary.

Yet everyone of them will call themselves independent thinkers and open minded while calling me or you closed minded or brainwashed.

This is why I troll them, because they aren't capable of thinking objectively or with an open mind.

No, Robbie, They aren't "doing the will of the people who elected them". They were not elected to stop a Supreme Court nomination. They were elected to do their jobs.

The majority of Americans, Republicans and otherwise, are upset with Congress for not doing their jobs. Congress is holding Americans hostage by shutting down the government. When it isn't shutting down the government, it's busy wasting our time and money investigating Benghazi or trying to shut down our healthcare. Congress needs to stop acting like children who didn't get their favorite toy and start doing their jobs.

Right now the front runner of the GOP is saying "delay, delay, delay". This is the way the GOP is doing business now, it's horrible, and Americans are pissed.

@********** and @crockett...You guys are reading what I wrote incorrectly.

I said: "I don't agree that they should hold up a Supreme Court nomination."

That means I agree with you guys that they should give the nominee a fair hearing and NOT hold it up.

So all the other shit that you wrote afterwards about me was all wrong. lol

An "independent" or libertarian" is just a conservative who doesn't like to admit it.

It seems like 9 out of 10 times all of these independent types lean so far to the right they make Rush Limbaugh look tame.

Congress has a 11% approval rating? That means 89% of the people are upset with Congress.

You are so ignorant. Even though I live the lifestyle I lead...and have said over and over what I stand for and linked to what Gary Johnson (the candidate I am voting for) stands for...you just live in your ignorance and make ignorant statements like that.

Sad part is...you don't seem stupid or unintelligent. You seem like a bright guy. But you put on blinders and can't see past them.

Once you take them off, you will find you'll become a lot more successful at everything you do.
