Any recommendtions for cheap lighting for video glam style shoots?

Looking at doing some lingerie & underwear video shoots, just against a normal offwhite eggshell wall, and not sure what lighting to get. I want to spend around $100 for now just to get started.

I dont know if I want a softbox or an umbrella or how strong the wattage is.

I was thinking of this Amazon.com : StudioPRO 1050 Watt Photography Continuous Video Photo Studio Softbox Lighting Kit - 2 x Square Auto Pop-up Set Up 20 Inch Softbox Lights : Camera & Photo but its 1050 Watt and its not dimmable, I dont know if thats good enough for now.

any suggestions?

oh and I'm just filming with an iphone 6 for now, thanks

No, why would asking about affordable lighting for beginner amateur films sound like a troll?

For one thing, because of this sentence:

I get it, you're broke and want to keep the costs down.

TWIN HEAD SITE LIGHT | PREMIER | Builders Buddy | Suppliers of Building Contractors Tools and Traffic Management Products

Site Lights Electrical & Plumbing » Site Lights macbuildingproducts.com - Builders Merchants,

Aim the lights at the opposite wall and colour balance for tungsten. Test the light effect, then adjust.

It will look pretty crappy, but it's the best option.

the go to has always been work lights, the type on a stand that you use in the garage etc...

bounced into walls, ceilings and white cards... then color corrected... should work fine for you.... very hot thought... look for a LED solution??

Guy was asking an honest question, not sure why the negative comments. The guy's not trying to shoot a 4K Victoria Secret spot. I've seen photographers with $10,000 worth of equipment put out complete shit. Photography and video making isn't about the equipment, it's about the eye of the photographer. If he wants to spend as little as possible to see if he has the eye, then what's wrong with that? We all had to start somewhere.

It's about a lot more than eye--it's also about experience and knowing how to light, knowing the craft, etc. I watched the bikini video and the guy in it said he has 12 years as a pro photographer. To attempt what he's doing with little experience (which it seems is what the OP has), is hubris.

But I'd love to be proved wrong, so maybe the OP could post some of the images and/or footage he shoots with his proposed set up?

I think his results are pretty nice using only an iPhone, $30 in lights and cardboard from Walmart. I haven't seen anyone in this industry get results like that for that budget. Also keeping in mind me shrinking those images down and reposting online.

Nah, I could post a Margot Robbie centerfold for FHM and you'd still post a row of laughing emoticons telling me how bad they are. I'm not going to get anywhere that's pretty obvious, so I'm good.

Are you working in a shoebox? Otherwise it's fine.

Post what you can achieve with any camera or phone. Then we can compare.

Very few in this industry are trained photographers, we don't have to use iPhones and cheap lights. This guy did it to show his skills, not to prove any amateur could match him.
