I watched that a few minutes ago on CNN "State Of The Union".

It was Jake Tapper trying to get Trump to say on live television that he didn't want any votes from anyone who agreed with David Duke.

Trump used the "I don't know David Duke" defense. He didn't say he didn't know who David Duke was.
But it's pretty obvious what Trump is doing.

The KKK hasn't been a powerful organization in a LONG time. Matter of fact, last time it had a big membership and had power was back when Democrat Senator Robert Byrd was a big official in it.

Having said that..."Super Tuesday" is in a couple of days.

Trump asked for a "list" from Jake Tapper and that he would go over that list with his staff and find out everything about them and then make a statement.

And if he does make a statement like that...it will be AFTER Super Tuesday (which are mostly the Southern states).

I think he's making a calculated political strategic move. He didn't "accept" the endorsement and he didn't "reject" it either.

It's the same strategy that Pres. Obama has used in these cases with people like Bill Ayers, the Black Panthers, etc.

The Pres. didn't want to lose any votes even though he might not agree with what those people say.
Trump is pulling the same trick.

Doesn't make Obama or Trump "racists".

Now if Trump comes out tomorrow and hugs David Duke and proclaims his love of the KKK...then he's a fucking racist.

CNN went to David Duke to ask him about Trump. Duke didn't call a press conference or anything like that.

Duke said he's "The best of the lot".

Well the point I was trying to make was not about the people voting for him. Just the fact is he's an admitted socialist and he was displaying he at least did/does have a chance of defeating the establishments queen Hilary.

Normally by now you would see posters, commercials, CNN front page with a split screen of Sanders and Lenin. EASILY attacking him and destroying his campaign.

But the bulk of the attention is clearly centered around Trump. They are pulling at every single straw. They are giving air time to Mexico's ex-president calling him Hitler. Basically doing any possible to dis credit him no matter how far fetched it is. Now they are trying the KKK route, it is just so far out there it is laughable.

But what is not laughable is how a media that tries (and fails) to present itself as unbiased is going after him like I have never seen before. They are scared, the establishment is scare of Trump.

So again the point was the fact you would think they would be going after a self-proclaimed socialist and not a successful businessman.

Didn't know a lot about David Duke except what I had seen in the media over the years.

Looks like he quit the KKK in his mid 20's (40 years ago) and is not a white supremist but a big time anti-Zionist.

He likes Trump because Trump says he will give the Palestinians a fair shake in negotiations with Israel (as Pres. Obama has said as well).

It took me about 1 minute to read a bit to find all of this out. I simply looked at his FaceBook page that the New York Daily linked to. That's his official "Fan Page".
Then I looked up his personal FaceBook page and read it.
Then I went to his davidduke.com website and read it.

I had thought the guy was KKK and hated black people, etc.

But if you read it...he says he left the KKK when he was a young man after a couple of years because of "idiots" in it.
I didn't see anything about "white supremacy" anywhere.

But the website and both Facebook pages are full of him accusing Jewish Zionism as being the cause of wars and financial strife.

Anyway, just wanted to say what I saw.
He even complains how the media uses a 40 year old picture of him as a 25 year old dumbass young guy in a KKK robe when he hasn't even been a member of it since then.

I do admit that just his name makes us all think of the KKK and black people being lynched...even though he never did any violence and left the KKK while in his mid 20's.
Sen. Byrd by contrast was in the KKK from the age of 24 until the age of 46 even though he stated that he only quit because of his political aspirations. And he continued to defend the Klan in Congressional hearings and vote against Civil Rights.
He also used the "N" word publicly as late as 1997.
