I'm in NC now and it works for me. All I got was some cheesy popup telling me how many gay searches came out of NC. They just using gays for attention. They didn't block anyone

well they block all watermarked uploads by users, ensuring everyone's watermarks are cropped first - maybe it's the language barrier and they typed 'we blocked north carolina' but meant 'we block user uploads that give credit to the original site (but still hide behind dmca)'
