Is it allowed to register domains with sponsor site name in it?

Hi,
I have a question regarding domain name.
For example, I promote livejasmin.com .
I want to build a site to review about it, so I choose domain livejasminreview.com .
Is it allowed to register domain with sponsor site's name in it like this? Is it against sponsor's policy?
I'm looking for your advice.
Thanks.

Depends on the sponsor, just ask them, some allow it, some don't.

Yep. I've done it a lot and a few times the sponsor that I'm promoting will update their TOS to not allow it anymore..

That's so true, now sponsors would rather have the tubes fill up the first page of search results instead of affiliates.

They don't like the idea of a feeder or blog coming up higher than their main site in SERPs and then having to pay a commission, even though I'm better at SEO than them..

Yeah so they instead let the first few positions for pornhub/xvideos etc with 7-10minute videos instead of a blog with a few pictures

Yes but teaching people to watch long free videos instead of shitty images isn't the best long term idea ;)

It's weird that I sent emails to many cam sponsors like Pussycash, Camfuze, ... and still got no reply till now!
Maybe it's obviously not allowed and they ignored all questions?!

It's not a good idea.

Build your own brand, that way if a sponsor goes belly up then you've still got something.

Dont

Even if they allow it today, they may let you build up traffic then once you make $$$ they could demand the domain name.

Go with your own domain.

Some may also have it in the T and C's.

But trust me, these firms may let you do it for a bit, but then will probably demand the domain and refuse to pay you any money you made. Thn (as often is the case) will come onto gfy.com crying that you are owned $100000's and they will not pay you.

there was one sponsor a couple of years back that suddenly asked their affiliates to stop using domains like that but this sponsor requested that you remove their content and leave the site up if you wanted .. they didn't mind though if the domain had their rivals content on there instead! Even the aff manager I spoke to was stumped at this decision but it came from up above him.

Yes bad idea,

I've made hundreds of thousands of $$$ over the years using domains with the sponsors name in it. Slowly but surely over the years the sponsors changed names, went out of business or more commonly, demanded the domain name (then did nothing with it! Ouch!)

The best thing for you to do is spend that time building your own brand (own the twitter, facebook etc if u can).

You can still target the sponsor of your choice with your SEO skills, just that having the domain name in the url is bound to backfire eventually.

All those hours you spend on the domain name will eventually stop bringing you income. Build something you can own, control and will make you money for a lifetime

Back in the early 2000's I had a site that was dedicated to a specific solo girl. The sponsor told me they were fine with me using her name in the domain. I built up the site, did some SEO and eventually landed at #1 on google for that girl's name. Things were great for several months. Then the program was sold to a different company and they demanded I turn the domain over to them. There wasn't much I could so I did. Then they threatened to sue me because I didn't include the site with it. I told them for a fair price I would sell them the site, but all they were entitled to was the domain. The kept the domain, did nothing with it, and eventually let it expire.

Thank you everyone for your advice.

aint that the truth.

they didnt understand SEO enough, past "look my affiliate is out ranking me for my own name, lets cancel the account". they just traded one listed for another, rather then spending the fucking time to improve their own.

i lost a number of good 4 and 5 figure yearly income domains over this.
