There was a comedy show some years ago "Little England".

So we'll have independent Ireland, independent Scotland.

And the "Isle of London".

If the EU breaks up, it will just bring forward whatever is already a disaster in the making over there.

Why do you think breaking up an organisation based on bureaucrats and bureaucracy will hurt the countries it wants to rule?

Labour has a problem. The number of Labour Constituencies that voted out and those that voted in. Needs to be examined closely.

London was solid IN. It's also thick migrant areas. This was repeated in other city centres. It only takes a few % to swing a vote.

White Labour areas voted OUT.

Scotland voted in because it wants to be funded. The odds on Sturgeon getting a vote to leave the UK and then to get into the EU with her debt mountain growing. Is possible. But good riddance to them.

She will find it very hard to borrow money. Unless the EU gives her a free reign with the Euro so she can spend Scots into a deeper crisis. Look at the facts on her borrowing.

If the UK fails at this independent venture they will have no one to blame but themselves.

The UK before the Brexit was a part of the world's 3rd largest market economy -- that status now is in this 2 year limbo where the UK has no say. The UK has surrendered to the terms the EU will dictate -- there is no debate now -- ARTICLE 50 says so -- and the UK agreed to that in the Lisbon Treaty.

Good luck, the only recourse UK has is to declare war on the EU which is too ridiculous to imagine.

You just got your hat handed to you ...

Wrong. That is ridiculous argumentation.

Lets say US and Canada makes Norther American Union. Canada suddenly would be "part of world's" largest economy. So what? That would not change anything in terms of how big Canada's economy by itself would be (union with S or no union)...

There would be customs duties and protectionist tariffs that WTO treaties would allow.

If the USA withdrew from NAFTA domestic produced goods would have to replace goods imported from Mexico and Canada. Canadian product costs are close in parity to the USA. Mexican prices or products are 50% or less that USA made products.

In real world terms: My Mexico made leather desk chair, private labeled for a well known USA manufacturer/marketer, and sold by a USA office supply retailer, that cost me $280 in 2012 would cost me $600 (with inflation) if it was assembled 100% of USA content by USA workers.

So really, this Brixet is more libertard and Marxist. More jobs for workers and higher costs for finished goods? I have money to spend but I should pay more so you have a job?

I should pay you more for skills that can be had elsewhere for lower costs. That sounds Marxist to me. "each according to his abilities, and each according to his needs."

If I sent more money to Mexico the Mexican ''rapist and murder'' would not want to come to the USA -- GFO that is ludicrous. Let's build the wall and the wall will be huge!

It's almost the direct opposite of that. The EU is a protectionist customs union, not a free trade area. Meaning, each EU country has to apply tariffs on imports from outside the EU. Out of the EU, we can abolish those tariffs unilaterally if we so choose. Britain is a trading nation, but the EU stops us trading in the way we want.

A couple of examples -

Tate & Lyle Sugars (an American owned company, not to be confused with Tate & Lyle itself which sold off its sugar making operations) makes sugar using sugar cane. However, the EU imposes tariffs and import quotas on sugar cane from sugar cane producing countries, in order to protect sugar beet production in EU countries. Meaning, Tate & Lyle Sugars' British factory is running at half capacity and makes no profit.

We all like Netflix, right? Quality boxsets of UK and American TV series and movies. Well guess what, the EU wants to force it to include a certain percentage of EU made content, to protect European TV production. Why the fuck do I want to have French and Spanish TV forced on me? I pay the fee each month to get to watch what I want, not what the EU wants me to watch FFS.

Without tariffs, we could for example buy more wine from Australia, or lamb from New Zealand, if we wished. Or more of anything from anywhere else in the world that fits with our needs. That's if we choose to lift the tariffs once we're out, that will all depend on the trade arrangements we can make.

Europe is not a country and the UK is not Europe -- I get it.

I have traveled a bit in both.

So, the UK government will lower its tariffs now? Import more goods that British workers will have better selection and prices -- Oh wait?

Less tariffs -- less tax revenues.
Lower Tarrifs=> More Imports=> Less Jobs=> Less workers -- less tax revenues.

Well, the UK signed the WTO|GAT in 1948 so your tariff rights are limited there too... is GATEXIT next?

The nation-states in the EU amount to 50% of your export trade the UK raw and resale product prices just went up (After Article 50 Brexit) 20% on all b2b sales. Those products will not be traded VAT free with the EU. Same with raw and resale products imported from the EU imported to the UK -- when the cost of goods rises wholesale -- guess who pays -- the consumer. If higher prices lead to higher wages inflation becomes a problem and the currency value deflates. Soros is predicting a GBP in the $1.05 range -- he just may be correct.

Why should it not continue to be part of the market?

Because a handful of politicians are happy to lose their jobs by saying no? Never going to happen, the EU needs the UK to keep their voters happy.

Does NAFTA rule, or want to rule , the US?

This is how out of touch you are on this situation.

No you don't and that's your problem. The EU wants to become a country, wants to abolish the member States and change Europe into the USA. With less democracy than the USA.

It's determined to become a Country with one Government ruling supreme. Everything it does shows how it's moving doggedly towards their goal.

It stopped being a NAFTA like organisation 20 years ago.

The Queen is a figurehead and nothing more.

The aim is to make people like Junker President Supreme of Europe. Changing them every couple of years os every twat gets a turn.
