:stop Woman Live Steams boyfriends Death

This is crazy stuff

(CNN)As Philando Castile's head slumps backward while he lies dying next to her, Diamond Reynolds looks directly into the camera and explains that a Minnesota police officer just shot her fiancé four times.

The nation is, by now, accustomed to grainy cell phone videos of officer-involved shootings, but this footage from Falcon Heights, outside Minneapolis, is something different, more visceral: a woman live-streaming a shooting's aftermath with the police officer a few feet away, his gun still trained on her bloody fiancé.
"He let the officer know that he had a firearm and he was reaching for his wallet and the officer just shot him in his arm," Reynolds said as she broadcast the Wednesday evening shooting on Facebook.
Castile, an African-American, had been pulled over for a busted taillight, Reynolds explained. He told the officer he was armed and had a concealed carry permit, she said. Her daughter, 4, is in the back seat.

The officer was threatened by the seat belt being buckled.
Clearly that was a trick to have the seatbelt on already.

Saddened when I saw this.

No human dignity. A 4 year old girl in the back seat witnessing a murder by cop. A cop just standing there pointing a gun at a non moving man bleeding out.

Only strange thing is the man was driving, but the woman's video starts with her in the driver's seat and the victim in the passengers seat. How did that happen?

The sad thing is the cops and media have us trained to think it's normal for a person to get shot if you move too quick around police. He got shot...oh too bad...mother fuckers will know next time not to move so fast. Fucking sickening. Just like the black guy who ran to get his wallet for the pig only to get shot in the back for it. I bet the next thing will be someone getting shot for breaking wind in front of a cop. "I could have swore it was a gun shot, chief. Mother fuckers shouldn't fart in front of us cops. I had to shoot because I feared for my safety."

Fuck the police. They've turned into executioners and we've let them.

Can't make full judgment without the stuff before the video started. But the reactions of the office in the aftermath make it suspect. Panicked and made a terrible decision. This one I definitely lean towards a brutal shooting.

I tend to defend the police in such circumstances... But even I can see this is horrible.

Let's just say he did in fact have a firearm in his waistband or holster and grabbed it.... The correct action of the police officer should be to back up. This is why police usually stay slightly behind you when giving you a traffic ticket - it's a tactical position. It would be difficult for someone who is wearing a seat belt to pull a firearm and shoot behind him. If the officer thought he was in danger he should have back up a few feet while pulling out his firearm.

When a cop sees a black guy his training kicks in:

"It's a black guy!!!Shoot!!!"

I've said this before....policing is a man's job, and they obviously have scared little boys posing as men going through the academy. You can't train a police officer to not be scared of black people. His daddy already drilled it into his head for 20 something years.

This kind of thing sucks for cops also, because we don't want them to be scared of doing their jobs properly because of over-scrutinization when there actually is a "bad black guy" who needs to be taken down. But they can't just go shooting citizens any time they feel slightly threatened.

There is zero judgement calls needed. The victim was sitting in a car seat buckled in while shot. The cop was standing with clear positional advantage.

If the cop thought the guy was reaching for a gun he could of simply moved behind him out side the car with a simple 2 foot steps and reassessed the situation before deciding to shoot the guy dead.

I'm not defending this particular cop. Without seeing the action it is hard to know exactly how it went down, but the way he talks, making excuses and such after the fact, makes it sound bad. That said, police are trained to shoot someone who is going for a gun. They are not trained to back up, take cover, talk them into dropping the weapon or to wait and see what happens. If you have a gun and you put your hand on it you can expect to get shot.

Actually she was on video saying that as the boyfriend told the officer he had a gun as he was reaching for his wallet and that SHE told the officer "but he has a license to carry" video here.

She also stated earlier that she told the officer they had a little weed in the car.

She continued to describe where she was and asked her sister to pick her up from the police station. ?We had a busted tail light and we have some weed in the car. That?s about it.?

None are reasons for 4 shots in the chest with a seatbelt on and kids in the car.

Okay, so the guy had a legal concealed carry permit...and was carrying.

He's a supervisor at a school cafeteria.

Is it a tough lunch crowd?

Not defending the cop here...nor am I passing judgement since the beginning of this wasn't shown.

But who carries a concealed weapon to work each day at a school cafeteria?

Yeah. Like most of us, I saw really bad things, bad bad stuff growing up. Her daughter in the car, and her, experiencing this kind of death by cop, and the aftermath, life changing. Not what a cop does for a false traffic stop. ( no broken tail light )

Reaching for your wallet at a traffic stop is not a death sentence.. If you think it's ok to shoot someone because you can't see their hand... you are very mistaken.

He reached for his wallet while informing the cop that he had a gun.
This was interpreted as a threat by the police officer. The end.

Not defending the cop here...nor am I passing judgement since the beginning of this wasn't shown.

But who carries a concealed weapon to work each day at a school cafeteria?
But do you have a problem with concealed carry in general, like me... or only when it applies to black school cafeteria workers?

Anyone who worked at Columbine should.

And there it is. More to the story then what was originally reported.

I have a problem with handguns carried by the public, period.

Color doesn't play a factor.

Carrying a concealed handgun in a school (unless you're a trained and qualified security personnel)...is problematic.

You need to read your own article.. No one said he didn't have a carry permit. A single sheriffs office was asked if "they" issued his permit. They clearly said in the quote" our office did not issue his permit"

Also.. if I read the "claimed " reason behind stopping him.. the officer claimed he matched the discription based on "wide brim nose".

Give me a fucking break.. that's obviously code word for "he's black" I'm pulling him over because he's black..

Your so called other side of the story does everything possible to refute the claims it was a non racially modivated stop. He was clearly stopped and executed for being black and in the wrong place at the wrong time..
