ccbill sponsor but now has epoch for paypal question
As an affiliate I always want to make sure my sales are obviously being tracked. I was told in the past that sponsors that have ccbill and then also add epoch for paypal etc that there has to be something set up to allow the tracking to occur on both options.
I have had a couple sponsors recently add epoch to their join page with the affiliate code links. I have asked both if my ccbill is being tracked if the surfer chooses the epoch option and both have told me they are not sure, is there something that needs to be done. I am worried obviously because now if my code only works for the ccbill then I got a 50% chance of the surfer choosing the epoch option on the join page and losing the sale off my own traffic. question to those that have done it 1. Do you need to set something up too get it to track properly 2. What do you have to set up, do you contact epoch/ccbill or both 3. Will there be a cost for the set up or new links? thanks all, I just want to know the right answer so the sponsors I talk to I can give a better answer then I am not sure what to do, but I am pretty sure it has to be set up. ![]() |

2. I'm not sure they hired the right programmer. No, you can do it yourself. 3. Depends if you can do it yourself or not. I'm not sure you would get your money. |

I would say you are losing 50% of your sales potential by sending to a Ccbill sponsor so in the end... it's really a wash anyways.

I would bring the matter up to Epoch, CCBill and the sponsors.
Ask them if the ccbill cascade to epoch/paypal option is being tracked for affiliates. Give them your affiliate number, sponsors, etc. To be honest, if a sponsor did this, went live without knowing if their system is tracking, and I think I know who you are talking about, I would consider dropping them or look/focus on other sponsors. They either: 1. Are incompetent 2. Don't care too much about affiliates. Its a great idea to add paypal cascade but adding incompetency factor is not helpful. Good luck, Zoddy ![]() |

But if those sponsors set the epoch join links through CCBill's traffic manager, then a sale will get tracked and credited to the affiliate properly. Doesn't matter if the sale goes through CCBill or Epoch, the affiliate payout will come out from CCBill.

I'd also add that if a program says 'They're not sure' then
1) They're either pretty incompetent and actually don't know, or 2) Are trying to shaft you, and the Epoch links are direct epoch ones where you wont get credited. Either way, I'd suggest working with a program that does look after their affiliates properly (ahem, see sig below! 8) |

Thanks for the responses people. I am waiting for both sponsors in question to get back to me. I do think they are both just kind of new to the affiliate game and are inexperienced. So I am trying to educate them sooner than later. Giving them the benefit of the doubt at this time. I would agree with the thoughts on CCBILL and how they are hard to convert, so obviously adding a no tracking to the epoch side certainly wont help me at all.. Will see what they find out, what they do and if they do nothing then will focus traffic elsewhere
I often wonder as an affiliate just how many sales I am losing with bad tracking, sneaky back ends and the such.. Thanks again |

Does ccbill still have where vendors can cascade from ccboll > epoch and the affiliates retain credit? Recall this being the case a few years back.
