these girls' "manager" is either an incompetent moron or they are full of shit, most likely the latter... if X was really "promised", any competent manager would have included it in a written contract...

so most likely they got a vague verbal "we'll see what we can do" and now are trying to extend their 15 mins of fame by threatening to file a bullshit lawsuit...

Wow that was a rush to judgement for your guy Trump .

Luckily Florida has anti SLAPP laws on the books so if Trump tries to sue him back for $5mil to shut him up, it will be dismissed and Trump will have to pay his fees as he has countless times to many others before.

I don't think so.

These are just a bunch of little kids just doing their thing, with hopes of becoming stars some day. If someone famous like Trump offered your kids group a chance to be on TV, you would jump - no contract required.

The opportunity to make money and show the kids a little bit about how business can work by selling their CD at the rally after the show would have been a huge thrill for them and probably would have made them quite a bit of money too. Everyone at that rally would have wanted to support them by buying a CD.

This to me looks like a great little "handshake deal", and Donald Trump is a dick if he doesn't do the right thing.

Absolutely agree, taking Trump on his word has to be the dumbest thing anyone could do.

he is not my guy, just calling it like it is...

it's pretty damn obvious what happened.... for a brief moment they became famous thanks to the appearance at Trump's rally, they missed the opportunity to take advantage of it, and now in a typical lefty fashion are trying to find someone to blame...

this wasn't some bullshit performance at some retirement home, it was a major televised event that was watched by millions of people... so chances that it was just a "handshake deal" are pretty slim...

"The first event didn't come to fruition, and Popick says he asked for $2,500 in payment for the second performance, in Pensacola. The campaign made a counter-offer: How about a table where the group could pre-sell albums? Popick took the deal.

When they arrived at the venue, though, there was no table, Popick says. The result was "complete chaos," he said. "They clearly had made no provisions for that."

"When Trump made the sudden decision to skip the January Fox News debate and instead hold an event for veterans, a representative of the campaign called Popick to see if the Freedom Kids might perform. The call came the day before the event, Popick says, which was being held in Des Moines at 6:30 p.m. With the promise that the exposure from the event would be "huge," Popick readily agreed, and the kids and their parents packed up for a direct flight to Chicago and a long drive to Iowa.

It wasn't to be. When the plane landed, Popick had a message from the campaign staffer indicating that there was a change of plan. "

The creator of the viral pro-Trump act 'USA Freedom Kids' now plans to sue the campaign | Tampa Bay Times
