Porn for 5 Year Olds , New Academic Recommendation

I guess this makes sense but the thought makes me queazy, 5 seems way too young to teach about sex let alone expose to porn. I don't think it's right at all exposing anyone underage to adult content. What do you think?

-----
Pornography for children: Teach kids as young as 5 sex say experts | Daily Star

'Give children PORN' Teach kids as young as 5 sex say experts

KIDS should be given access to pornography as young as five years old, an MP has claimed.

Children curious about sex often see porn as a guide to how to have sex.

And campaigners been trying to keep kids clean ? by introducing necessary measures to avoid confusing the sex industry with sexual education.

But, according to a report, porn should not just be swept under the carpet.

Pornography should be taught in school as a subject like English Literature or Maths, the "Dare2Care" report released last week said.

QUESTION: Youngsters would be able to analyse it 'like Jane Austen' it has been claimed
People caught having sex in public members of the public don't seem to mind being caught having sex, so much so they're at it on the train platform, in shopping centres and even on top of buildings.

Couple caught having sex in public pool just metres from other swimmers
A randy couple were caught bonking on the bonnet of a car in the middle of the street

Sarah Champion, Shadow Women and Equalities Minister and Labour MP, claims it would be "good statutory education" for kids.

She said: ?It is natural for children to be curious about sex, but without good statutory education, children do their own research through online pornography.

"Children are regarding porn as a lesson in how to have sex."

The Shadow Women and Equalities Minister said it would work because teachers would be able to contextualise pornography for kids.

And it could help show youngsters it is a "fantasy", she claimed.

The MP explained: "Without the context or the understanding to view it as a fantasy, promoted by an industry that normalises violence against women and girls.?

BBC Radio 4 journalist Jenni Murray has publicly backed the idea proposing porn could be studied in the same way as a "Jane Austen novel".

She said: ?We might show them a news bulletin that has been on television the night before.

CURIOUS: Children often look to porn to learn about sex

REVEALED: It has been claimed it could help show kids porn is a 'fantasy' "Why not show them pornography and teach them how to analyse it?

?You put boys and girls together in a class and you show them a pornographic film and you analyse it in exactly the same way as you teach them to read all the other cultures around them.?

But the controversial report has sparked outrage as doctor Carol Cooper slammed the idea as "unsuitable".

SEX EDUCATION: Campaigners want to keep kids clean by teaching them about pornography
And it could even normalise deviant sex in the minds of youngsters, she said.

She told The Sun: ?Pornography is classified as unsuitable for children for a reason.

?It?s exposing them to overly sexual messages ? and often very violent messages ? and deviant sex.?

You clearly haven't read the article. This story came out yesterday and it's about Porn as sex education and in the mainstream media why on earth would anyone be banned here for this story?

It plays directly into us having to protect our content from children, while at the same time society is saying Porn should be used as sex education. If we don't have open discussion about where society is headed with our content then we are all fucked.

If there's a wave of censorship pushing all sites to verify age, while at the same time another wave saying Porn is acceptable and it's not an issue, then it could show the tides are turning on internet censorship.

Society isn't praising porn at all. This is just a crazy opinion of one or two self-proclaimed experts.

Actually Sarah Champion is the Shadow Women and Equalities Minister who can help change public policy.

If public policy changes and Porn education starts we likely won't have age verification issues in the future or be forced to an adults only TLD .

This is a bullshit.. I can guarantee you this would cause a public rampage in the country I live in. Also, the laws would have to be changed as you may end up in jail for showing a pic of masturbaing woman to anyone below 18 in here.

Also.. they only talk about educational purposes, not pornography widely available for kids - so doubt it would change anything in our business.

They're talking about teaching the difference between pornography and sex. Being a parent I find the topic uncomfortable but important.

If the difference between Porn & real sex is taught, then Porn isn't a threat because people know it's place as entertainment not real life scenarios right?

The fact is Porn is everywhere so if the trend continues of teaching young, our industry is less of a pariah, much more accepted mainstream & the fight against us subsides. What country are you in BTW?

Isn't Britain the country that actually blocks access to porn to protect kids?? Paradoxical , isn't it?

If they feel we need to teach kids the difference between sex and porn then we may also teach them the difference between reality and the fiction they see in maistream movies in TV every day..

5-years olds don't even know what sex is and the purpose of laws protecting them from porn is to avoid them finding out earlier then they should, protecting their psychic... so I find this lady mentally ill.

Oh and I am from Slovakia

BTW, if you want to teach them the difference, you can do so without showing them explicit porn, don't you think?

Slovakia awesome!

I agree that something is wrong with the stories premise but, if at the core, society is leaning more towards acceptance, like they are with illegal drugs here in America, then I think that could be great for the adult community in the future.

It is similiar to prostitution which is not illegal, nor legal here. Being a prostitute is not a problem, profiting/organising it is a serious crime though.

There are thousands of prostitutes here, not having to pay any taxes. But legalising prostitution as an official business ? ... siiliar to what they have in the Netherlands or Switzerland and avoid massive tax evasion? Well nobody talks about this here.

Nobody wants to mess with that because it's a sensitive theme in a country with a religious majority.

Same would go for "porn for kids" ..there are still massive protests against LGBT rights , the society is not porn friendly and liberal at all.

BTW, the laws are similiar in all countries in the neighbourhood.

I personally think that porn is still alluring to people because it is considered as forbidden, morally bad. So making it "good" would not bring more profits, as it could become widely accepted and not so interesting.

You know the saying.. "Forbidden fruits taste the best" ?

it's fucking outrageous how people can have these crazy ideas! Why would anyone under 16 need sex education when it's illegal under this age. Maybe to teach young teens not to have sex but to show porn to our minors, wtf

Honestly I'm increasingly uncomfortable with the topic as it keeps veering away from my original premise based on the article, which is changing social tides towards adult content through government education possibly causing less regulation, and more understanding, of our industry in the future and not relegating our industry to an adults only TLD. No problem with the thread being deleted at this point.

well porn is a tool for having sex. education like someone already said would be fine. just also add that waiting is rewarding. at 5 you are not capable of making children.

Problem is, because of this industry the average age of first exposure to pornography is now around 11 years old, kids are basically getting a sex education online.

So the theory is if they can be taught sex education younger they will be better prepared to comprehend what they are seeing.
