Colbert is actually funny every night. I don't watch the guests ever, but I go into my DVR to watch his monologue every morning. He's always funny.

Maybe, I stopped watching him after the first few weeks he took over the late show. I found it pretty bad, hopefully he improved. His Republican convention coverage was amazingly funn, as was this monologue last night.

But the rest of the show, the 11:30 time slot, and the "late night" show format constraints I think really work to make the show less interesting.
