michael moore is the man...

he knows the truth when he sees it.

Quote:
And if you believe Hillary Clinton is going to beat Trump with facts and smarts and logic, then you obviously missed the past year of 56 primaries and caucuses where 16 Republican candidates tried that and every kitchen sink they could throw at Trump and nothing could stop his juggernaut. As of today, as things stand now, I believe this is going to happen - and in order to deal with it, I need you first to acknowledge it, and then maybe, just maybe, we can find a way out of the mess we?re in.
either that or he is playing reverse psychology.

more excellence by moore.

Quote:
And there is no doubt in my mind that if people could vote from their couch at home on their X-box or PlayStation, Hillary would win in a landslide.

But that is not how it works in America. People have to leave the house and get in line to vote. And if they live in poor, Black or Hispanic neighborhoods, they not only have a longer line to wait in, everything is being done to literally stop them from casting a ballot. So in most elections it?s hard to get even 50% to turn out to vote. And therein lies the problem for November - who is going to have the most motivated, most inspired voters show up to vote? You know the answer to this question. Who?s the candidate with the most rabid supporters? Whose crazed fans are going to be up at 5 AM on Election Day, kicking ass all day long, all the way until the last polling place has closed, making sure every Tom, Dick and Harry (and Bob and Joe and Billy Bob and Billy Joe and Billy Bob Joe) has cast his ballot? That?s right. That?s the high level of danger we?re in. And don?t fool yourself ? no amount of compelling Hillary TV ads, or outfacting him in the debates or Libertarians siphoning votes away from Trump is going to stop his mojo.

& then there is hilary:

Quote:
Let’s face it: Our biggest problem here isn’t Trump - it’s Hillary. She is hugely unpopular — nearly 70% of all voters think she is untrustworthy and dishonest. She represents the old way of politics, not really believing in anything other than what can get you elected. That’s why she fights against gays getting married one moment, and the next she’s officiating a gay marriage. Young women are among her biggest detractors, which has to hurt considering it’s the sacrifices and the battles that Hillary and other women of her generation endured so that this younger generation would never have to be told by the Barbara Bushes of the world that they should just shut up and go bake some cookies. But the kids don’t like her, and not a day goes by that a millennial doesn’t tell me they aren’t voting for her. No Democrat, and certainly no independent, is waking up on November 8th excited to run out and vote for Hillary the way they did the day Obama became president or when Bernie was on the primary ballot. The enthusiasm just isn’t there. And because this election is going to come down to just one thing — who drags the most people out of the house and gets them to the polls — Trump right now is in the catbird seat

but michael, it was hilary that cracked the line about baking cookies, not barbara.

finally...

Quote:
Finally, do not discount the electorate?s ability to be mischievous or underestimate how any millions fancy themselves as closet anarchists once they draw the curtain and are all alone in the voting booth. It?s one of the few places left in society where there are no security cameras, no listening devices, no spouses, no kids, no boss, no cops, there?s not even a friggin? time limit. You can take as long as you need in there and no one can make you do anything. You can push the button and vote a straight party line, or you can write in Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. There are no rules. And because of that, and the anger that so many have toward a broken political system, millions are going to vote for Trump not because they agree with him, not because they like his bigotry or ego, but just because they can. Just because it will upset the apple cart and make mommy and daddy mad. And in the same way like when you?re standing on the edge of Niagara Falls and your mind wonders for a moment what would that feel like to go over that thing, a lot of people are going to love being in the position of puppetmaster and plunking down for Trump just to see what that might look like. Remember back in the ?90s when the people of Minnesota elected a professional wrestler as their governor? They didn?t do this because they?re stupid or thought that Jesse Ventura was some sort of statesman or political intellectual. They did so just because they could. Minnesota is one of the smartest states in the country. It is also filled with people who have a dark sense of humor ? and voting for Ventura was their version of a good practical joke on a sick political system. This is going to happen again with Trump.
best stuff ive read from a liberal this year. some of you have brains & know the truth when you see it.

The people have spoken!

It's Trump v. Clinton.

We need to get rid of these primary election circle jerks and put politics back in the smoke filled rooms at the conventions.

There are three kinds of intelligence: one kind understands things for itself, the other appreciates what others can understand, the third understands neither for itself nor through others. This first kind is excellent, the second good, and the third kind useless. --Niccolo Machiavelli

While he is right, he's leaving out the fact that electoral votes are the real decider and the establishment will go with establishment. Those votes aren't private and can also easily be bought and/or stolen as was seen in the primaries. As I said in another post Trump will win popular, Hillary will win establishment electoral aka we know whats better for you vote. Hopefully Trump won't bow down like Al Gore did. But if he's given a golden parachute like Al Gore was he probably will..

I wonder what a day would be like in Josh G's RV if his tv cable and Internet went out.

Do you guys think he would be able to leave his swivel chair and take himself to McDonald's so he could complain to someone about liberals?

He is playing reverse psychology. He is sending out the message for people to not get complacent. Where as black voters turned out in droves for Barack, white male voters will be turning out in droves this election.

Some of the reasons he is concerned, as other anti-Trumpers should be, is represented in this very thread. Just because she has raised so much more money can lead to the idea that she has this in the bag. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Honestly, for the first time in this entire fiasco, I believe Trump has a chance of actually pulling this off. Why? Because Americans love charisma and confidence. Those are two things Trump has Hillary beat on. Hillary looks nervous. She doesn't say anything too outrageous, while everything that comes out of Trump's mouth is outrageous and people respect that shit. Even though building a wall sounds fucking great, most people can't be bothered to crunch the numbers to realize that its a fucking retarded idea. He is playing to all that white people fear....

Being run and overun by minorities. White Trumpers will rationalize anything and everything he says in hopes of avoiding that very thing.

i agree with you, 100%. political machines were overly-tarred/feathered. they need a comeback IMO, be done with primary voting.

A choice between:

Tom Kaine (D) v. Mike Pence (R) seems much more realistic to me.

These are party brokered choices -- that should be apparent to you if you have the brains god gave a bug.

This year's (2016) election party primaries just show how limited the intelligence of the average voter really is.

The "personnas" of both Trump and Hillary are repugnant. Choosing the "least worst" will not solve anything IMHO. But then I will not be that affected either way: My interests are vested more or less. Who ever gets elected is probably only going to be in for one term as I am pretty sure either Hillary or Trump will be a big fail.

One of our senior political leaders described Trump as "barking mad".

Exactly. A lot of liberals, Democrats and left leaning independents think that Trump has no chance to win and they may stay home on election day assuming it is a shoe in for Hillary. Trump has a very real chance of winning so Moore is telling people they better get out and vote if they want to stop him.

As I've always said, Republicans only have a chance if Democrats stay home. With that said, I have no intention of voting as I won't vote "for" Hillary just to block Trump.

The Democrat party lost my vote this go around due to the way they fucked Sanders. If there are a lot of people like me, then Trump will stand a chance.

If he wins, then it's the DNC's bed to lay in as they are the ones who gave him that chance.

If Trump wins and this country goes to shit, I can move elsewhere.. If he doesn't destroy things then I just wait it out and look at the damage just like with Bush jr..watching all the Trumplets tell us they never supported him anyway..

another creative wooden shoe reference, who writes your jokes, trevor noah?

i can't answer that question for him. What do you do when you're not brainwashed by the Daily Show, that bitter unfunny English retard or anyone on the left extremist media? They spread pure hate, racism and division, while blaming others of being that... irony at its best.

Do you go to a nearby university to use their gender neutral toilet because your van doesnt have one at all and use their safe space because you're offended and feeling guilty that your tires are black?

You should do as I am and vote for Gary Johnson. While I don't agree with everything on his platform, I do think we need a legit third party and if he could get 5% of the vote it could change things down the road.

The only way either of the big two parties is going to change is if there is some competition for them.

You don't think very well do you? By not voting or voting for a 3rd party candidate you are actually voting for Trump. Did you not listen to his acceptance speech? He's a complete fascist. Do you not know what fascism is? You are, in essence, voting our country into the dark ages. Listen to Trump, it is all about how he is the one and only. There is no "we" or "us", there is just Trump modeling his campaign after Hitler and Mussolini. You think it can't happen here? Then you are fools.

With the electoral college it doesn't really matter how I vote. I live in a very blue state. Trump is not going to win my state so it does me no good to vote for Clinton so I might as well use my vote to help develop a third party.

Also, even if there were no electoral college, I would still vote for Johnson. I don't like Trump and I think he will be a shitty president. I don't know about Clinton. Maybe she would be good and maybe she would be terrible. That said, I have always said that if you want change sometimes you have to embrace the madness. Trump is that madness. Even if he sucks perhaps there will be a lesson learned in all of this from both parties.

We as a nation are stronger than one president. Trump is not Hitler, no matter how much the internet wants it to be so. If Trump is elected and he sucks, we will survive and hopefully we be wiser for it. Few things in this world are better teachers than a punch to the face.

Supporting a 3rd party that wants to turn everything over to private industry in order to minimize govt is not my idea of a smart move.

I don't feel supporting a party based on fairytales is any better of an option than voting for Trump or Hillary.

Also on most issues current libertarians vote along side Republicans so they are far from a "3rd party" hence the reason they almost always run on a Republican ticket..

Hillary is selling herself to the devil getting the black votes by saying anything including being almost anti white. It's sad when Michael Brown's mom is involved. She's doing anything. But I still know a lot of people are fed up with the bullshit and will vote for Trump. Trump Train Coming and You Better Get on Board!

Like you I don't agree with some of that they want, but I think they appeal to some liberals as well because they are very liberal socially. I don't know that Libertarians as a whole could be a real 3rd party, but if they made a showing it could encourage other and independents to start running and challenging the two big parties.

A revolution doesn't start with cannon fire or fanfare, it starts with a whisper.

Like I said, don't vote and it's a vote for Trump. Vote 3rd party and it's a vote for Trump. That's a fact and most of you are smart enough to figure that out. As for our country surviving a Trump presidency, do you want to bet your life on it?

Well, I guess I will be betting my life on it because I am not going to vote for Hillary or Trump. But, like I said, I live in a blue state so even if I voted for Hillary or Trump my one vote is not going to change the fact that Trump is not going to win this state.

Trump will not be a dictator. There is a Congress to keep him in check and there is a decent chance the democrats will own one of those houses.

Most likely, if Trump wins, is that we have four more years of gridlock with little or nothing getting done.

What is it you think Trump will do that will bring down death and destruction on the country.

Trump will not be a dictator. There is a Congress to keep him in check and there is a decent chance the democrats will own one of those houses.

Most likely, if Trump wins, is that we have four more years of gridlock with little or nothing getting done.

Did I say that I wasn't going to vote? I said I was going to vote for Johnson in a previous post. I will still be voting for Johnson.

You still haven't said exactly how Trump will destroy this country.
