CIA immediately backtracks, claims it never stated Russia hacked the election

throws Washington Post under the bus

CIA: Washington Post Report Linking Russian Government to Trump & Election Hacking Is “Outright Lie” | True Pundit

"The Central Intelligence Agency is declaring the Washington Post's much-hyped story linking the Russian government to hacking the presidential election to help Donald Trump an "outright lie," according to CIA personnel with direct knowledge of the case.

The Washington Post, in a front-page splash on Friday, fingered the CIA for allegedly confirming the wild rumors of Russian hacking that were concocted and spread by Democratic lawmakers for months preceding the election and the weeks since the GOP win. The Washington Post's story, however, contained no CIA sources and in fact, no credible U.S. intelligence agency sources whatsoever. Instead, it hinged on what unnamed lawmakers had supposedly been told by unidentified, supposed CIA-linked sources in "secret" briefings: That the CIA had developed proof the Russian state waged an orchestrated campaign to destabilize the U.S. election to benefit GOP-candidate Trump.

"It's an outright lie," a CIA analyst divulged to True Pundit. "There's nothing definitive like that. There are leads from activity originating in Finland, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Britain, France, China and Russia."

Multiple CIA sources are now denouncing the Washington Post for knowingly reporting misleading national security intelligence. Intelligence insiders said no one in the Agency or in the FBI, who is running at least one parallel inquiry, has ruled out a possible internal leak within the Democratic National Committee from actor(s) inside the United States who funneled private DNC emails to Wikileaks...."

umm why do you bold one part then ignore the other "There's nothing definitive like that. There are leads from activity originating in Finland, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Britain, France, China and Russia."

Clearly there was hacking according to them but he is just saying they didn't claim Russia was proven to be sole ones behind it at this point of the investigation.

Funny how news can be twisted by whom ever is making it.. Also funny you are claiming the entire thing is fake when that's clearly not what the guy is saying. He is clearly saying there was hacking. They just can't say it was only Russia behind it until they can investigate it.

Anyway truth doesn't fit your narrative OP.. You just want to play team sports and claim liberal media "bad" but right wing blogger "good".. (ie consider the source.. truepundit.com) spin..spin..

It's what happens when you go searching for confirmation bias. You'll take any news you can get from the web's underbelly.

There's a class of people who have accepted a narrative that every rag on the internet is showing us the truth, and all of the major, respected new outlets are liars and don't check facts. They live in their own reality where white is black and vice versa.

You live in India and your username used to be Muad'Dib then you switched it to "Google Expert". No idea why you're pretending to be American with a stake in our election.

Amusing that you guys are calling it fake news when the Washington Post itself has been caught several times in the past few weeks pushing fake news. Including it's article labeling others as fake news sites.

Yeah, if you ever went to school you would know that Muad'Dib is a fictional character from one of the bestselling Sci-Fi classics.

I have no idea who the hell OneHungLo is, but if says so then it must be true

It doesn't matter how long it's been around. What matters now is who currently owns it and what's their agenda?

"Fake news".

At least call it something else. That's a phrase the media came up with post-election, to regain control of its precious Narrative.

Don't make it so easy for them. They should grovel and beg for your forgiveness

Yeah I know it's one of my favorite movies. Muad'Dib still makes me think India.

OneHungLo has been here since 2001 , anyway, not sure why you want to hide that you live in Ukraine but whatever, it makes you seem untranslatable to hide even the country you live in.

Fake news is fake news.

The problem is anyone can make a website and pass it off as news. We see this all the time on GFY. Any time I see a news source I have not heard of before I quickly go to the front page to see if they are biased and nine times out of ten they are.

We see this all the time.

Dude you are in deep.

You are defending fake news with their lies and misinformation to drive a false narrative.

Fox news & CNN are slanted but don't provide lies and misinformation to drive a false narrative.

The funny thing to me about this new fake news phenomenon is that I can look at a website and assess it's credibility in about 0.2 seconds. Just a glance is all I need.

But there's plenty of dumbasses who suck it up like it's Campbell's chicken noodle soup for their rotten brains -- then try to regurgitate it to intelligent people who fucking know better. Conservatives...90% of your fake ass news is fake. And it's because the reader base is made up of mongoloids and under-educated trailer park trash.

Apparently, I went to high school with a bunch of these people because almost every day one of them is posting some kind of anti-Obama/anti-liberal fake news stuff and going off as if it were real. After pointing out to them that five minutes on Google would prove that the story is fake they typically respond with , "I'm allowed my opinions."

Never trust a website that has "true" in the title. It's kind of like when Donald Trump says "believe me" 100 times per minute. He knows what he's saying is complete bullshit, but a few "believe me" sprinkled into the lies will work like a jedi mind trick on his waterhead followers.
