Good for him.. More world leaders need to reject Trump. It will hurt our country a bit but it's what needs to happen.

The first foreign government to act on a tweet from Trump

"The U.S. has a 60 billion dollar trade deficit with Mexico. It has been a one-sided deal from the beginning of NAFTA with massive numbers...of jobs and companies lost. If Mexico is unwilling to pay for the badly needed wall, then it would be better to cancel the upcoming meeting." Trump 1-26-2017

6 days in office and his Twitter has impacted foreign policy & negotiations

Yeah, I saw this before hand. Nieto, played this well and it will piss Trump off because of his ego. Basically he took power away from Trump. Trump used a threat as a power play and Nieto called his bluff and yanked the power right out of his tiny little hands.

I think Trump thinks he can pay for the wall using a Trade Deficit. I don't think he knows what that term means.

Signing an executive order doesn't mean it will happen.. Obama signed an executive order to shut down the guantanamo bay prision but it never happened. The EO, doesn't provide the money to do it..

Trump has claimed Mexico will build the wall, not that "we" would. Mexico isn't gonna build it and you will pay for it if we do..

Also it's funny Trumplets were calling Obama a dictator due to Executive Orders, but you guys all high five Trump by-passing congress. I think he's up to 10 of them his 1st week where Obama only had 5..

oh yes mexico will just pay for the wall because trump had an idea that they should pay for it because he promised it to a 3rd party so that he could get elected...and if they do not pay for his idea that they have nothing to do with, its best to cancel a meeting

trump is on drugs

Mexico will pay for the wall, long term. With all that money that will stop going from US to the families of workers in Mexico. At some point, they will figure out that it is better to play by the rules.

No, Mexico will never pay for the wall.

Money that will stop going "from the US to the families of Mexico" will not repay the US government for the cost of building the wall. This money does not go to the US government. Money not spent by individuals is not a payment to the US government.

He actually hasn't built a wall and Mexico isn't paying for it.

Trump is talking about building a wall still, and he wants Americans to pay for it, without a plan to get money from Mexico, that's the reality.

In 2006 California finally pushed Bush into signing The Secure Fence Act. which beefed up border security and put up the fence/wall that we have now.

Trumps rhetoric is a recycled theme, nothing original.

Go tell them, they are all so stupid and they still didn't figure out the problem you just saw. As far as I know, they managed to relocate you, thousands of miles from the USA. I am sure that managing a wall is a much simpler task.

And about Rochard's post, obviously, he is too literal and didn't understand what I was trying to say.

you need to think a bit deeper than that... money made in the US, but sent and spent in Mexico doesn't benefit US in any way...

if you stop or reduce the $$$ sent to Mexico, then the $$ has to be spent in the US... and that's where the magic happens...

for example Jose has an extra $100, normally he would send it to his family in Mexico... but if he is unable to do so, what does he do? he will spend it here, he will go to some store, buy some widget...

sales tax gets collected when he does that, store owner makes some profit, so he pays income tax on it, etc... so when all is said and done, about half of that $100 ends up flowing back to the government because of various sales/income/etc taxes... and it supports US economy in general, everyone benefits from Jose spending $$ locally, instead of sending it to Mexico...

Mexico could start issuing more visas and then people could just fly over the border legally for $200 and then toss the visa.

A wall can't stop that.

Plus fake IDs and fake visas will skyrocket.

But he said "They'll pay in some form or another. Maybe some complicated way. There's a lot of ways". I'm paraphrasing, but that's close to the bullshit he's peddling.
Trump thinks 3-5.5 million fake votes were cast and that he actually won the popular vote.

You can't believe a thing Trump says. With Trump you have to wait until he does something cocrete, not signing a paper or making a speech, which is all he's done. Trumps base thinks talking, not doing, is action. Pathetic.

for example Jose has an extra $100, normally he would send it to his family in Mexico... but if he is unable to do so, what does he do? he will spend it here, he will go to some store, buy some widget...

sales tax gets collected when he does that, store owner makes some profit, so he pays income tax on it, etc... so when all is said and done, about half of that $100 ends up flowing back to the government because of various sales/income/etc taxes... and it supports US economy in general, everyone benefits from Jose spending $$ locally, instead of sending it to Mexico...
Think a little bit deeper than Mexico.... How much porn money made in the US flows back to Europe?

LOL, it was Trump who told him not to go (if he is not ready to talk wall payment etc).
Yet you twist it 180 degrees as if it was other way around.

Maybe, Trumpzo will put a tariff on cheap Columbian and Romanian cam girls' earnings and kill my competitors next. 45% tax surcharge on all the money that US companies send out the USA.

I am currently looking at three DELL monitors ,(first one has this forum opened, the second one has a Mcdonald's window opened with new burgers that I am about to try tonight while on the third one I've just closed Paypal payment history where the last item purchased was a hosting with servers in Arizona). Once I am done, I am about to sit in my Ford and go to grab those burgers. Should I mention that internet access where from I am typing this is provided by the company owned by KKR investment fund from New York?

To avoid misunderstanding, I am trying to give an example how complicated is to get an answer to your question because most of the Europe is using US products or services and I doubt that it is possible to get the simple answer to your question.

Doesn't work that way; the customer pays the site then the site pays the model a %. Setting up a fake company only for the purposes of evading federal taxes is a federal felony in the USA.

Lots of countries have put export controls on currency -- usually when their economy is tanking.

It is illegal to take more that $10,000 in cash out of the USA unless you are licensed to do so by the US Treasury Department.

***NEW FLASH **

White House announces 20% import duty on all goods from Mexico.

This includes the tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, avocados, other produce and goods you buy at the grocery store so Trump can pay for his stupid fucking wall.

Quote:
Mexicans view a wall across the 2,000-mile border as a symbolic affront, part of a package of Trump policies that could cause the country serious economic pain. They include a crackdown on illegal immigrants, who send billions of dollars home, and renegotiation of the North American Free Trade Agreement, or NAFTA. The treaty has allowed trade between the neighbors to mushroom. Every day, $1.4 billion in goods ccross the U.S.-Mexico border, and millions of jobs are linked to trade on both sides. Mexico is the second largest customer for American-made products in the world, and 80 percent of Mexican exports ? automobiles, flat screen TVs, avocados ? are sold to the United States.

Let's see how Mr Trump handles things when other world leaders decline an invitation to or from Mr Trump for a visit.

One man alone does not control the game.
