Recommend me some warm shoes.
I am looking to buy some warm shoes. It's like -3 here and my toes are freezing.
I need smart, shiny work shoes either in brown or black. Ideally slip on (not laces). The most important thing is though that they keep my feet warm all day long. Particularly want to hear from Russians, Baltic people and Canadians. Brits too. Thanks. |

The shoes arent going to do it...Ive tried
Try insulating insoles - they sell -35 degree rated ones at Amazon Along with insoles - use wool socks - Ive even one so far as to have two thin pairs on at a time when really bad temperatures - trick from the old hiking days |

you want some waterproofed shoes, not to keep your feet warm but to keep the moisture out & some nice thick woolly socks

I like cotton ankle socks with wool/wool blend over socks in the winter. I wear heavy 100% wool hiking socks on very cold winter days. And what was mentioned above, insulating innersoles -- Thinsulate being the best. I like the cushion gel type.
Also, inside the floor surface has a lot to so with cold feet. Concrete slab foundations are the coldest: Put a heavy rug under your feet. Old houses with floor drafts will make your feet feel cold. Wear pac-boots outside in the snow or in the very cold. If you want a 'shiny leather compromise' -- https://www.ghbass.com/product/samue...gclsrc=a w.ds I have a pair of these for winter and air travel (they slip off in the security line) clunky looking and not "high fashion" -- warm and comfortable -- practical. |

Canadian here. Here you go:
![]() Not even trolling. It's -11 celsius here and Uggs are the only thing that keeps us warm + not falling due to slippery icy streets |

You want a little bit of wiggle room in your shoes with those socks. I do a lot of ice fishing and suffer from cold feet. Ive learned that the warmest boots with the warmest socks will still get you cold feet if they fit too snug.
