Goggle Analytics questions "referrers"
My "geeks" are stumped, one of the members here is stummped ... So, I will throw it out for somebody "'geeky" to help...
I need to track with GA where my traffic comes from. This of course would assist me in marketing and financial decissions. Unfortunatelly ALL my referres show up as Verotel and Epoch ( my two processors)....So where did I go wrong in setting things up??? Or is GA set up so stupid that this cannot be fixed??? ![]() I have given up on my second GA question about why key words cannot be tracked... I was told Google does not want us to know.... ![]() |

Google said you should use piwik instead if you didn't want them to keep your most valuable analytics data to themselves.

It's all about Google selling their own ads. They don't even give you full access to keyword planner anymore if you don't actually buy that kw spot...

Please somebody reply to my referres question... not key word question.

Acquasition->All Traffic->Referrals
You can see only the keywords when users are not logged in. This is for privacy reasons. |

I DO NOT WANT TO DISCUSS KEY WORDS !!! Please read my question...NO keywords BUT referrers I am after on my GA.
My affilate program knows the referrers but my Google Analytics does NOT. I am trying to get help with referrers... How to set up GA so when somebody does make a purchase on my site I know where he came from.....right now they all come from my payment processors which is ridiculous, they are NOT the referrers. ![]() ![]() |

Ask your payment processors. They should have to put some code otherwise it is not possible.

I've seen you spam Q&A threads with your fucking memes; mine included.
Promise to mend your ways and I'll give you a big list including tracking the wrong root vs sub-domain, referrals from secure (https) pages etc and their solutions. ![]() |

Your payment processor can see the referers to their page, where your user actually signs up and pays.
Since the user then goes through the payment processor to get to your page, the payment processor page becomes the referer to you. So, you see the actual referer to your page and the payment processor sees the referer to their page and google is showing you the only information it can. SSo, the question becomes how does the user get to the payment processor. You would have to code something in there so that you could track which users went to the payment processor page and then actually completed the sign up to get to you and then you could get the information you wanted. Hope that helps ![]() .

If your landing page and your site are both using the same google analytics id then you can probably track through using a custom variable in GA.
I know nothing more about it then that you can use custom variables in GA. Again, hope that helps. .

I guess you might also be able to see what you want to in the user flow section of GA if you are using the same GA id on all pages involved.

OWell, thanks you for your reply ( replies), unforunately I do NOT have a membership site I have a VOD site, so every customer different and comes back often ( hopefully)....i also cannot go to my processors and aske them to recode their site.
Right know it goes... Customer> our site + purchase > payment processor > my GA What I need is.. Customer > our site + purchase and then simultaneoulsy SPLIT to my GA and the processor Or something like that, ![]() |
